For more than 20 years, in agencies across the UK and Sydney, I’ve been balancing scientific precision with creative flair to produce unique concepts and campaigns that have exceeded client expectations. My passion burns bright for both print and digital solutions, and I have significant experience designing infographics, web banners, mobile apps, interactive magazines and brochures (Acrobat), e-Books (zmags platform), annotated ThingLink images, wireframe mock-ups and complete build ready websites. With my experience and the right chemistry, who knows what results we could achieve.

advertise > digital > merchandise > retouch > signage
formula Behind every design project, there’s process and principle, laying the foundations for creativity to thrive. Through tried-andtested techniques and adherence to classic design formulas, an environment is created in which creative flair can bubble over.
“ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED DESIGNERS I HAVE HAD THE FORTUNE OF WORKING WITH” Senior Client Manager Dewynters London
ROAR MATERIALS TEST: New advertising and merchandise for Disney’s stage musical ‘The Lion King’. RESULTS: Developing the iconic graphic design approach for the musical which ran from 1997, I produced all the materials for both the London and Broadway productions. The deliverables included online and press adverts for all national newspapers and magazines, tube, train and bus shelter posters, billboards, bus and taxi wraps, front of house signage, and a wide range of merchandise.
brand > copywrite > merchandise > promote > retouch
elements With conditions primed for creativity, the next stage of the design journey is sourcing the right elements - gathering and questioning existing brand guidelines and digital assets, and using these as the building blocks for creation.
“JONATHAN HAS THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY WORK WITHIN TIGHT DEADLINES” Creative Director Jump To! Oxford
BREWING IDEAS TEST: Deliver a dynamic integrated promotional campaign for Beck’s beer. RESULTS: Created the ‘Upgrade Your Beer/ Day’ concept, then I designed, artworked, and delivered over 40 printed and digital assets installed across London’s pub and bar scene. The promotion included posters, backlit bottle holders, large scale cardboard engineered displays, staff t-shirts, signage, venue awnings and lights, folded tent cards and competition scratch cards.
advertise > brand > copywrite > digital > promote > exhibition
idea catalyst With the spark of an idea never far away, there’s no need to fear a blank canvas. Energy, creativity and outside-the-box thinking helps to create something from nothing - changing perceptions and achieving reactions every time.
“WE CAN RELY ON JON TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT WILL COMPLETELY SURPASS OUR EXPECTATIONS” Marketing Manager Oxford University Press
MATTERS OF THE HEART TEST: Various integrated campaigns for client The European Society of Cardiology (ESC). RESULTS: In partnership with Oxford University Press, I have been producing design work to promote the society’s journals and textbooks since our first incision in 2009. More specifically: Adverts, copywriting, flyers, postcards, posters, pop-up banners, exhibition stands, PowerPoint slides, website banners, eZine digital magazines and branded USB sticks.
advertise > brand > copy > digital > promote > exhibition
dynamic With all the individual design elements connected and a seamlessly ‘bonded’ campaign approaching roll-out, success depends on keeping the energy high - managing deadlines and surpassing expectations to drive design into bold new territory.
“THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK IN TERMS OF CONSISTENCY AND CREATIVITY IS TRULY IMPRESSIVE” Director of External Relations ArtsEd London
DRAMATIC RESULTS TEST: Ensure Arts Educational Schools London’s (ArtsEd) advertising and marketing materials showcase their true star quality. RESULTS: Working closely with the marketing department and show directors, I create cohesive branding across their four schools. My work since 2009 has included the design and execution of advertising campaigns, as well as application forms, brand guidelines, copywriting, logos, flyers, postcards, show posters, student graduate books, school prospectuses, and website assets.

“TOP NOTCH DESIGNER. A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH. HE REALLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT WE WANT, AND ALWAYS DELIVERS” Office Manager College and County
PROPERTY HOTSPOTS TEST: One of our property sector clients, College and County, are a residential lettings company known for their commitment to ethical lettings and property management. RESULTS: They’ve gone from strength to strength, sweeping the board at the ‘Estate Agency of the Year Awards’. My design work included adverts, award entry brochures, copywriting, property window clings, website banners, and even a promotional umbrella! I also produced several email campaigns in conjunction with Rightmove, which had some of the highest click-through rates they’d ever seen.
*All clients are current, except for Disney (and Disney Theatrical) who I worked for between 1995 and 2005.
