We have been makers since the day John Willis Hulme founded our company in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1905. For more than a century, every J.W. Hulme Co. travel bag, briefcase, backpack, handbag and accessory has been proudly Made in America and crafted to last a lifetime. Each bag is individually handmade by our skilled artisans using the finest American leathers selected from small craft tanneries in our home state of Minnesota, as well as Maine, Illinois and Tennessee. Our exclusive leathers are tanned using old-school dying and finishing techniques to accentuate the full grain, color variances and natural imperfections of each hide.
At J.W. Hulme, we use only the finest materials and meticulous hand craftsmanship to create leather goods of exceptional quality, and we guarantee them for life. J.W. Hulme Co. The company made high-grade tents for American soldiers in World War I. Made of 100% cotton canvas that expanded when wet to create a superior barrier against the harsh elements.
The company introduced its first field and sport bags and expanded the collection to include a full range of travel and utility bags for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers.
The company introduced its signature all-leather duffles and shell bags and began introducing models of tote bags, handbags and small leather goods.
