To whom it may concern, The following contains the bulk of my marketing and communications work for student organizations at Illinois Tech. I have procured a breadth of digital and physical content under two main brand identites, of which I aimed to convey their vision to the general public. The main goal is to increase authentic engagement with the brand identity. I will be completing my fourth year. Currently, I will graduate in spring 2022 with a NCARB-certified Bachelors in Architecture and a minor in Business. Thank you for your time and consideration. I anticipate connecting with you further about my selected work.

Sincerely, Jocelyn Wong

ILLINOIS TECH ESPORTS CORPORATE IDENTITY

ABOUT FACE: RECREATING THE VISION (2017-2019) REBRANDING

Retained logo, color scheme Originally formed in 2013, Scarlet Computer & Console Gaming started out as small gatherings for multiple competitive games, such as Super Smash and League of Legends. Within four years, the club had quickly grown to be seen as a regional leader for its community focused, high-quality events, and had developed into an organization that provides

events for the whole community to participate in. There was a need for a comprehensive reevaluation of the organization’s values and identity. Under the supervision of club executive members, I worked closely with them to redesign their logo and corporate identity. The organization heralded a new name, Illinois Tech Esports (ITE), to more appropriately represent the student body. Worked with IIT Marketing & Communications Dept. to create official schoolsanctioned logo

WEBSITE INTEGRATION A temporary website was initially created that was in use for a year and a half, until ITE was approached by IIT’s Marketing Department to transfer over to the official school website. Although we worked to keep the information structure the same, all of the elements were integrated into the school’s existing style.

relationship building is crucial to its foundation, I designed interactive media that aimed to engage students visually and entice them to learn more about attending Cru Illinois Tech’s gatherings. I adopted Cru’s national brand standards and color scheme and integrated graphic elements insipired by the local surrounding: the IIT campus, and the city of Chicago.
