“
Our goal is to elevate the audio-visual experience across diverse sectors, turning obstacles into opportunities preseving the site and guaranteering good intelligibility
The installation of audio systems in places of worship and historically significant cultural sites presents unique challenges that require careful consideration to preserve their historical value while ensuring high sound quality. Each site has its own specific acoustic characteristics that necessitate a tailored design approach. Moreover, the centrality of the voice and the need for intelligibility, combined with the importance of maintaining a nonintrusive presence, are crucial factors.
At K-array, we address these challenges through the synergy of our ecosystem, collaborating with K-ARRAY, KGEAR, and KSCAPE. This partnership enables us to tackle common issues and deliver effective solutions for sound reinforcement in these environments.
Architectural and Historical integrity
In places of worship or sites of historical significance, the installation of audio equipment must respect the integrity of the site. It is essential to avoid interventions that could alter or damage the original structures, whether it is that of ancient churches with stuccoes and canopies, mosques with tall golden domes, or the old wooden beams and solid stone of medieval halls.
Our products not only excel in sound reproduction but also utilize highquality, durable materials, thanks to a manufacturing process that incorporates traditional Italian craftsmanship.
Slim Array Technology is at the heart of our philosophyspeakers with a slim profile that deliver high-frequency precision. This allows for a quick and perfectly integrated installation thanks to the customization of finishing and colors.

This holistic approach ensures a seamless user experience, from hardware to software, underlining our commitment to being a one-stop shop for diverse audio needs. Emphasizing ease of control, we introduce the newly designed K-Control app. This innovative software features a customizable dashboard, allowing for tailored user experiences per project. It is a testament to our dedication to user-friendly, accessible, and efficient control over audio setups.
The challenge: natural acoustics in large spaces
Large naves or halls with high ceilings often present significant acoustic challenges, such as reverberation and sound dispersion, which can impact the clarity and intelligibility of sound.
In venues like historic palace halls, where both conferences and events with background music take place, these issues become even more evident. Advanced sound reinforcement solutions - not only address these acoustic challenges but also adapt seamlessly to the diverse nature of the events, all while preserving the architectural beauty of the space and ensuring an optimal listening experience for every attendee.
Pure Array Technology
The line array columns, such as the Kobra, Python, and Kayman, can be interconnected to form long arrays that fully leverage Pure Array Technology, providing precise distance coverage and controlled sound reproduction.
With identical woofers integrated into these extended arrays, there’s no need for distributed or delay lines, allowing for fewer speakers to be installed in challenging spaces. PAT excels also in delivering uniform sound dispersion across large areas.
Scalable from the smallest column speakers to larger systems like the KH7P, this technology is particularly effective in ensuring balanced sound reinforcement for expansive spaces, such as squares hosting large-scale liturgical or events.

Electronic Beam Steering
Electronic Beam Steering (EBS) technology is at the innovation of modern sound distribution, offering a refined, targeted audio experience with minimal physical intervention. EBS electronically directs sound emission to specific listening areas, providing precision audio coverage. This advanced solution reduces the need for mechanical adjustments, resulting in a lower visual impact and minimal interference with the surrounding architecture, while also reducing unwanted sound reflections that can distort audio.
EBS elevates performance letting to fine-tune the speaker’s frequency response and sound pressure across the selected area. This intelligent adaptation ensures that listeners enjoy a consistent, immersive sound experience with focused or even audio distribution, regardless of their position within the space. The result is balanced volume and clear audio, perfect for large and complex environments where high speech intelligibility and sound quality are essential. The combination of cutting-edge technology and
design meets the demands of modern installations and offers a seamless, aesthetically discreet solution. Kayman-KY102-EBS combines PAT with EBS delivering powerful performance in a more compact, lightweight, and visually slim format. It can adapt the sound beam electronically, providing exceptional clarity and maintaining signal integrity. This makes it ideal for speech reproduction, ensuring speech remains clear and intelligible, even in acoustically challenging spaces.
K-framework
K-framework is a powerful 3D modeling software designed for advanced acoustic calculations. It simulates sound performance across various applications, providing efficient solutions for optimal speaker system configurations while facilitating the implementation of all our technologies.
Acoustic simulations extend from open to indoor environments, allowing the precise calculation of reverberation times of different materials to create specific listening areas. The software allows comparisons for intelligibility index calculations based on Speech Transmission Index (STI), making it an essential tool for assessing audio clarity.
K-framework becomes even more advanced in managing and designing installations in acoustically complex environments, positioning itself as an indispensable tool for audio professionals seeking functional and effective solutions.
For venues and events requiring the management of multiple zones for speech, such as liturgical ceremonies or conferences in distributed spaces, the Kommander-KA amplifiers and Prisma-KPR matrices provide the perfect seamless solution. With advanced control capabilities powered by the K-array software suite, particularly the Web-App, users can easily access and fine-tune DSP functions with precision, ensuring consistent sound coverage or, when necessary, focused audio in specific areas, delivering superior sound quality even in the most complex scenarios.
Portability and Easy to Setup
Exceptional flexibility and high performance are ensured by the Pinnacle serie. These systems are designed to seamlessly integrate, providing clear and intelligible sound even in acoustically challenging environments. Whether for spoken word clarity in conferences or rich, balanced sound for background music, Pinnacle systems can adapt to diverse audio needs, ensuring optimal acoustic performance without compromising the integrity of the space. The Pinnacle series combines excellent sound quality with portability and ease of setup, making it ideal for events that require quick and flexible installations. The active system that drives the passive components offers a practical solution by reducing the need for multiple amplification lines. This helps minimize cable clutter, making the setup faster and more efficient.
In environments where space and simplicity are essential, this stereo active-passive configuration ensures great performance while keeping the installation straightforward.
Legal and Regulatory Constraints
Places of worship and historical sites are often subject to strict structural and technological regulatory constraints to ensure safety and cultural preservation.
K-array systems are designed with these constraints in mind, offering solutions that respect the aesthetic and structural integrity of these sensitive environments. While certain products, such as our fire safety solutions, are certified to meet the EN54 standards, we always prioritize adherence to the specific guidelines set forth by the governing bodies to ensure seamless integration with historical and cultural landmarks.
Scalability for Worship configurations
The K-array ecosystem provides scalable solutions tailored to worship events of all sizes, from traditional stereo setups to more complex distributed configurations. With a portfolio that spans compact systems to highperformance setups, it includes KARRAY column speakers, KGEAR products, and innovative line arrays such as the Mugello, Firenze, and GH series. These systems combine exceptional sound performance, modern design, and easy installation, making them adaptable to any space. As part of the ecosystem, KSCAPE introduces integrated
