Student organizations With more than 475 clubs and organizations, it’s easy to find a place to fit in at Kansas State. You can play for any of the club or intramural sports teams, play in a band, join a student association from your country or join an academic club to meet like-minded students. Undergraduate admission
If you have a good academic record from high school, but you have not yet received an overall score of 79 or better on the Internet-based TOEFL, or an overall score of 6.5 or better on the IELTS, you can be admitted to an undergraduate program at Kansas State and begin your studies in the English Language Program. Once your English meets university requirements, you can begin your degree studies.

Excellent services for international students The beautiful International Student Center offers students a home away from home and a place for their meetings and celebrations. The expert staff of the International Student and Scholar Services Office in the Center is prepared to help you with questions concerning immigration, travel, work and cultural adjustment. The English Language Program can accept anyone who has completed secondary school and is at least 17 years old. The English Language Program’s (ELP) primary purpose is to provide English instruction to students who are qualified to begin university work but do not meet English proficiency standards for the university. Manhattan has a four-season climate with beautiful springs and summers, colorful autumns and snowy winters. It is the quintessential college town with endless things to see and do but with a small-city feel. Manhattan has many public parks and tennis courts, a zoo, a regional shopping mall, international food stores and public golf courses. On summer evenings you can listen to free concerts in the city park. If you enjoy the outdoors, you can explore the recreational trail that circles the city. Just a few miles from Manhattan is a major lake, Tuttle Creek Reservoir, where you can go swimming, sailing or fishing. While at Kansas State you can cheer on any of our 16 varsity sports teams. People travel from across the state to cheer on the Wildcats at our football and basketball games – just don’t forget to wear your purple!
Home away from home Kansas State has a variety of award-winning housing options. You can choose residence halls that are all-male, all-female or co-ed. Space is available all year for enrolled students, even during holidays and vacations in continuous housing residence halls. Most halls offer double rooms, along with computer rooms, recreational space and laundry facilities. The room rate includes three meals a day except for Sunday evenings. Off-campus housing Many apartments and houses near campus also are reasonably priced, especially compared to other U.S. cities. If you need help finding a place or have concerns about leasing agreements, Kansas State has people who can assist you.
Jardine Apartments Kansas State offers an apartment living community on campus. The Jardine Apartment Complex provides a variety of furnished and unfurnished apartments complete with kitchens and appliances. There are more than 700 apartments and 60 different floor plans to choose from. Many of the buildings have been recently built or newly renovated. Jardine is family friendly and has many play areas for children. Many different countries are represented at Jardine, which makes it perfect for international students.
