Letter from the MANAGER
Dear Lombardy Estate Residents,
As we embrace the chill of winter this June, I hope this letter finds you warm and well. Our community continues to thrive, and it is vital to ensure we maintain the safety and harmony that makes Lombardy Estate such a wonderful place to live.
In this edition, we need to address some important rules and reminders to keep everyone safe and our community running smoothly.
Additionally, we have exciting social events lined up to bring us together during these colder months.
Please take a moment to review the following guidelines and updates:
Check-in on Rules:
2.1 Children on Electric Scooters
We have received numerous complaints regarding unaccompanied children driving electric scooters and toy cars. This poses a serious safety risk not only to the children
but also to all members driving on the estate. Please ensure that small children are always accompanied by an adult and that electric scooters and toy cars are used only in designated walkways and parks. Our roads are not suitable play areas for small children.
2.2 Roaming Pets
A reminder on our rules regarding pets has become necessary. Pets are often found roaming the estate off-leash and without identification tags. Please remember that our control room has a pet “holding cell.” If your pet is found roaming, they will be taken there, and a bail of R500.00 per pet will be required. Ensure your pets are kept safely within your property and are easily identifiable with a collar and tag bearing their name and your contact number.
Social Events:
We have some wonderful social events planned for June:
1 June 2024: Pizza & Wine Night 15 June 2024: Ladies Network Event
Event Reminder

Storytelling, stargazing and sunblock – a family adventure
Under a vast African sky, lit with twinkling stars, our LETAMO Game Ranger, Darian de Bruin, tells us that the indigenous San People of South Africa believed that the stars were created by a little girl.
“Growing worried that her dad had lost his way when he didn’t come home from hunting one evening, the little girl grabbed a handful of cinders from the fire and tossed them high into the sky. Glittering in the dark the cinders stayed suspended, lighting up the night and directing her father home to her.”
The following morning, during our sunrise game drive, Darian stops the vehicle. We wait while a miniscule beetle pushes a ball of dung, many times its size, across the road. The dung beetle pauses, climbs on top of the ball, and looks at the sky before resuming his journey. Darian explains how dung beetles can tell directions from the position of the sun and explains the important role these tiny creatures play in the ecosystem.
Plucking a red flower from the bushveld he turns the stem into a bush whistle and hums a tune. Later, when he picks a handful of leaves from an African weeping wattle, he is rewarded with embarrassed giggles from the kids when he tells them that the tree, with its silky soft leaves, is also known as the toilet paper tree.
Pausing at the edge of a lake to watch a family pod of hippos frolicking in the water, Darian tells us that these enormous mammals make their own sunscreen. “Hippos secrete a red-coloured mucous from glands under their sensitive skin. This creates a colourful coating which hardens on the skin, helping to control body temperature and acting as a potent sunscreen that blocks out UV rays.”
These are the stories that have stayed with my son, and which he relates to me when we look at the stars back at home, spot beetles in the garden or page through books with pictures of hippos in them. They bring back the pleasure of our adventure at LETAMO - a new family-friendly lodge in the malaria-free, Big Five QWABI Private Game Reserve, a short two-and-a-half-hour drive from Pretoria.
Luxury family accommodation
LETAMO is a paradise for children. Situated in a peaceful spot overlooking a wide riverbed in the magnificent UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere region, the spacious lodge is fenced, allowing loads of safe space in the bush for kids to play on the expansive lawns and in the cool waters of the swimming pool. There are a variety of luxury accommodation options to choose from. Families can book interleading Deluxe and Premium Rooms or upgrade to a Luxury Suite, which boasts its own private plunge pool and outdoor shower.
Kids’ Clubhouse
In the dedicated Kids’ Clubhouse at LETAMO we peer through the lens of a microscope at insects and seed pods. We closely inspect a weaver’s nest on display and a cross-sectioned dung ball. While waiting for a craft class to start, we read facts about the fearless honey badger. There’s a jungle gym, a kids’ pool and even a padle court to try out during the hours when we aren’t on one of the twice daily game drives or enjoying a meal together as a family on the deck overlooking the bushveld.
Book your family bush adventure

Groundcovers
They limit germination of weeds, prevent soil erosion and retain soil moisture. It can be plants or material such as gravel, bark chips or pebbles.I find plants to be the exciting choice.
The plants can vary significantly from flat growing, creeping varieties to small spreading perennial bushes. It will include grasses as well as perennial flowers and a wide variety of succulents.
When planting a new garden, hard landscaping is done first, then trees and shrubs are added, and the final touch will be a variety of groundcovers.
The plants are not suitable for high traffic areas the exception being filling small gaps between pavers. Flat growing varieties such as Creeping Jenny, Falkia repens or Mondo grass (Kyoto dwarf) are suggested. The plants chosen should not spread vigorously as maintenance would become impossible.
Rooftop gardens with less than 10cm of soil, limit the choice of plants and slow growers will prevent
GARDENING
regular replacement. The general idea being to create a green carpet on the roof.
Slopes need plants with a deep root system. In addition, a biodegradable soil blanket can be used before adding plants to prevent soil erosion and evaporation. The plants should be long-lived and have a spreading habit. Shrubs like Plumbago, Carissa and Barleria are used on their own or in combination with flat growing groundcovers.
Vertical gardens will have less maintenance if long-lived species with a compact habit is chosen. Succulents such as vygies seem like an obvious choice, but many species are shortlived and need to be replanted every few years.
Grasses are a popular choice for large areas. The plants are cut back in spring. To avoid a bare patch, spring flowering bulbs can be added. After a few years grass clumps can lose their vigour and are then divided and replanted. Carpobrotus is often used by gardeners and landscapers alike.
The plants are easy to grow, require limited irrigation and are evergreen.
The downside being that they die-back after a few seasons and ongoing replacement is needed.
Asystasia gangetica will cover large areas with dark green foliage and foxglove like flower appearing throughout the year.
Keep in mind that the water requirements of the different species planted together should be the same. Carex grasses need moist soil and Aloe prefer dry conditions. The plants will perform well when planted together.
As with all plant choices, the amount of sun, the climate, and the soil type is important to achieve success.
With the variety of species available you will always find a groundcover that will be perfect for that special spot in the garden.

SECURITY Update
Ensuring the safety and security of our community members is of utmost importance. In recent times, vehicle spikings have emerged as a significant safety concern across South Africa, with specific areas being particularly risky after dark. Additionally, while vehicle theft has shown a slight decline, certain makes and models remain prime targets for thieves, necessitating enhanced security measures. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing and suspicious activities at local shopping centers also require vigilance. Lastly, we are making excellent progress with biometric enrollments to further secure our community. This comprehensive update aims to keep you informed about potential risks and the measures you can take to protect yourself and your property.
1.1 Vehicle Spikings
Vehicle spikings are a massive safety concern all across South Africa. In our immediate area, it’s advisable to avoid the following locations after dark:
• N4 Donkerhoek & Cullinan turnoffs
• N4 Solomon Mahlangu onramp
• N4 Simon Vermooten onramp
• Old Bronkhorstspruit road
• Bakwena N4 between Brits and De Wildt
1.2 Vehicle Theft
While vehicle theft has decreased to some extent in recent months, members driving the following vehicles should remain vigilant:
• Toyota Hilux, Prados, Fortuners
• VW Polos & GTIs
• Ford Rangers & Everest
• Smaller hatchback vehicles & utility bakkies – Opel Corsa, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Tazz, VW Citi Golf, Chevrolet & Opel Utility bakkies
Ensure your car is properly locked, and invest in an anti-theft device or old-school steering locks, as vehicle remote jamming is a problem at the following shopping centers:
• Shere Center (MooMoo’s & Crawdaddys)
• Silver Oaks
• Makro
• Checkers / Chamberlains Centre
• Hazeldean Shopping Centre, especially Virgin
Active Hazeldean
• School sports days (Tygerpoort, Curro Primary, and Curro College)
For more information on anti-vehicle theft devices, visit Ghost South Africa.
1.3 Pickpocketing
We have a roaming pickpocketing gang that targets elderly people and women. Their modus operandi involves one person, usually a woman, distracting their victim while another pickpockets car keys from unzipped handbags or back pockets. They have been spotted at various local shopping centers, including Wapadrand Spar. Please ensure your car keys are kept safely out of sight.
1.4 Suspicious Individuals
There have been reports of suspicious individuals targeting residents at local restaurants. Recently, two male suspects were spotted following a resident at Doppio Zero Hazeldean. Be cautious of your surroundings,
and alert management if you notice individuals not ordering food or drink and lingering near your table. Avoid wearing expensive jewelry in public, and keep your car keys and smartphone out of sight.
1.5 Biometric Update
Our biometric enrollments are making great progress, and we thank every member who has enrolled their palms at our control room. Most tags have been suspended, and only in special cases are tags issued to members whose palms cannot be enrolled. If you still need to enroll your palm, please reach out to us at ofice@ lombardyestate.co.za.
1.6 Important Security Numbers
• HOA security control room: 087 654 4822
• Armed security supervisor: 082 462 2977
• Security Manager: 066 479 8510

Unforeseen emergencies can strike our beloved pets when we least expect them, leaving us feeling panicked and unsure of what to do. In part 1 of this article, we delve into the world of pet emergencies, exploring vital first-aid tips and the importance of preparedness. We will also cover poison/toxin exposure as well as injuries that cause bleeding Whether you're a seasoned pet owner or welcoming a furry friend into your home for the first time, being equipped with knowledge and resources can make all the difference in safeguarding your pet's health and well-being.
General Points To Keep in Mind:
First aid care is not a substitute for veterinary care, but it may save your pet’s life until it receives veterinary treatment. Any first aid administered to your pet should be followed by immediate veterinary care.
Keep yourself safe: An injury can induce not only pain but also fear and confusion in your pet, potentially causing even the gentlest of animals to become unpredictable, aggressive, or possibly dangerous Ensuring your safety enables you to provide the necessary assistance for your pet.
Do not attempt to comfort your injured pet by hugging them.
If your pet shows signs of anxious aggression, it’s essential to apply a muzzle to prevent potential biting. It might feel like you are causing them more distress, but this will enable you to take action and get them treated quicker.
Get someone to call your veterinarian or local veterinary emergency hospital so they can be ready when you arrive.
Know the following information about your pet: species, breed, age, sex, weight.
During travel:
When traveling with your pet: Take a travelsized first aid kit with you. Have the phone numbers of your veterinarian as well as a 24hour emergency Veterinary hospital, in the area where you will be visiting, with you.
When traveling without your pet: Make sure that the person who will be taking care of your pet knows where to find the first aid kit and how to use it. Also, ensure they have the contact details of your veterinarian as well as the 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital closest to your home.
Poisoning is an emergency that causes a great deal of anxiety for pet owners. Stay calm to help you think clearly and act effectively.
What is harmful to your pet? In general, any products that are harmful to people are also harmful to pets (e.g. pesticides, cleaning products, rat poison, antifreeze). Be aware of less obvious poisonous items like certain foods and plants. See common South African household and garden hazards that may pose a danger to your pet on our Facebook page
Check the label: If the label instructs humans to wash their hands/skin with soap and water when exposed, then wash your pet's skin with soap and water (stay clear of their eyes, mouth, and nose). If the label instructs humans to flush their skin or eyes with water, do the same with your pet as soon as possible (if you can do it safely).
Get help: Call your veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic.
If possible, have the following information available:
Species, breed, age, sex, weight. Describe symptoms.
Name/description of the substance in question; amount the animal was exposed to; and how long it's been since your pet ate it or was exposed to it
Product container/packaging/photo of snake/spider/scorpion
Collect any material your pet may have vomited or chewed, and place it in a sealable container.
Take as much information with you when you take your animal in for veterinary treatment.
If your pet is injured, bleeding, or bitten:
• Be calm and work gently. Animals are very sensitive to the energy we bring to a situation. Staying calm helps your pet feel safe which will reduce their anxiety levels and help reduce fear and aggression. Your pet might not allow you to handle them extensively due to pain. If that is the case, carefully get them to the veterinarian as soon as possible.
• If your pet and time allow it, try to stabilise any injury by bandaging or splinting it before moving your pet. Since a poorly applied bandage or splint can do more harm than good, leave this step to the veterinarian if you’re uncertain.
• When transporting an injured pet, it helps to keep them confined to a small area such as a sturdy box, open container, or in a pet carrier, to reduce the risk of additional injury For large dogs, use a board, blanket, or something similar to act as a stretcher.
• Look for signs of possible internal bleeding: Bleeding from the nose, mouth, or rectum; bloody urine; pale gums; collapse. Keep your pet as warm and quiet as possible. Immediately take your pet to the closest emergency veterinary hospital.
• External open/bleeding wounds: Use a clean towel to apply firm pressure directly over the bleeding site Apply pressure for at least 3 min before checking if bleeding has stopped. If you see blood soaking through the towel, do not remove it, just add towels on top of the previous layer. This helps to avoid disturbing any blood clots that might have formed. If the bleeding is severe, immediately take your pet to the closest veterinary hospital.

1. Bold and Vibrant Colours
While neutral tones remain popular, 2024 sees a bold shift towards vibrant colors. Deep blues, emerald greens, and rich burgundies are making their way into cabinetry, backsplashes, and accent pieces. These colors add personality and create striking focal points in modern kitchens, bringing warmth and a touch of sophistication to the space (Easylife Kitchens)
2. Sustainable and Natural Materials
Sustainability is a key trend for 2024. Eco-friendly materials like recycled glass countertops, bamboo cabinetry, and reclaimed wood finishes are becoming popular choices. These materials not only reduce environmental impact but also introduce a natural, earthy aesthetic to the kitchen (Easylife Kitchens).

Additionally, mixing different textures and finishes, such as matte and gloss surfaces, metal accents, and stone elements, adds depth and visual interest.
5. Bespoke and Custom Solutions
There is a growing demand for personalized kitchen spaces. Bespoke cabinetry, unique hardware, and custom storage solutions allow homeowners to reflect their individual style and meet their specific needs. Customization ensures that the kitchen becomes a true expression of personality
6. Innovative Lighting Designs
Lighting in 2024 kitchens takes a creative turn, with statement pendant lights, LED strips integrated into cabinetry, and undercounter lighting. These features enhance both functionality and aesthetics, making lighting a focal design element

FAUX PLANTS
Article by Elize MalanArtificial plants are frequently used by interior designers. The quality and appearance of top of the range silk plants are exceptional.
Outdoor use in our climate at present is minimal. We have such a wide variety of natural plants to choose from that you can find a suitable specimen for nearly every spot in the garden.
Due to water problems, climate and everyday lifestyle changes, the use of faux plants will increase dramatically in future.
Artificial outdoor plants have a limited life span, but less maintenance is making it a viable solution for specific areas. Shaded patios, balconies and south facing courtyards can be green without a single plant.
The product that you choose need to have UV blocking technology and have strong colourfast pigments when used outdoors.
Hedge plants:
Natural hedge plants will take a few years to reach maturity. Plant the small hedge plants but add a faux plant hedge behind it. This will provide instant privacy and have
the purpose of a windbreak. By the time that the faux hedge becomes tatty the living hedge will completely hide it.
Garden walls:
Adding a lattice trellis in front of the wall and covering it with faux ivy will supply instant depth to your view. A backyard wall completely covered with faux greenery will transform the area in a soothing green environment.
Hanging baskets:
Can be added to any suitable support. No need to worry how a watering can or hosepipe will reach the basket. These are especially useful in garden design as background fillers while baskets with natural plants are used for close up viewing.
Topiaries:
Container plants pruned into a certain shape need extra care and maintenance. By using a faux topiary in an attractive pot all these problems are eliminated.
Covering an unsightly object:
Cover the jojo tank or grey-water pipes and even air conditioners.
Pool filters will be out of sight and there will be nothing shedding leaves into the pool.
Smaller projects such as a fence or wall can be done by any DIY handyman. Where you need a framework it should be handled by professional installers.
Faux lawns come in different colours, thickness and height. Choose the correct one for the area you need to cover. Areas with bad drainage or a slope will need a different approach, compared to a level firm surface.
Cleaning:
Rain will keep hedges and shrubs clear of dust or it can be hosed down. Depending on the type of lawn installation the grass will swept or a leaf blower can be used to clean away leaves. Solid waste from dogs has to be removed and the area hosed down. A cleaning solution from faux grass suppliers is applied to remove any smell or spill.
A serious gardener will not easily opt for a faux plant solution.
But when used correctly, artificial plants will provide years of visual pleasure to those difficult areas, and require no further attention.

OPEN DAY 7 SEPTEMBER 09:00 - 12:00
In recognition of Autism Awareness month in South Africa, parents within our community have approached the HOA office to raise awareness about children with autism residing in our estate. With the gracious permission of the parents, we are delighted to share insights about children with autism, and we will also introduce you to a remarkable young boy named Phenyo Tladi.
As members of the HOA, it is our shared duty to cultivate a warm and inclusive environment for all residents, including those with autism. By familiarizing ourselves with the common behavioural traits observed in children with autism and responding to them with compassion and understanding when encountered in our neighbourhood, we can nurture a supportive atmosphere where every individual feels cherished and respected.
Recognizing Common Behavioural Traits in Children with Autism
1. Sensory Sensitivities: Children with autism often face sensory sensitivities, such as sensitivity to loud noises, bright lights, or crowded spaces. They may exhibit behaviours like covering their ears, avoiding certain textures, or engaging in repetitive movements to manage their sensory experiences.
This article is designed to offer practical guidance on recognizing common behavioural characteristics in children with autism and how to appropriately respond if you come across them wandering unaccompanied in our community
Understanding Autism
Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that impacts communication, social interaction, and behaviour.
2. Repetitive Behaviours: Known as stimming, repetitive behaviours like hand-flapping, rocking, or repeating phrases are common in children with autism. These actions help individuals with autism handle anxiety, regulate emotions, and sustain focus.
3. Challenges with Social Interaction: Children with autism may find it challenging to navigate social cues and communication, with some being non-verbal. They may struggle to initiate or maintain conversations, interpret nonverbal cues like facial expressions and body language, and form friendships with peers.
4. Special Interests: Many children with autism develop intense interests in specific topics or activities. Encouraging and embracing these passions can bring joy and fulfilment to children with autism.
Encountering Children with Autism in the Community
As residents of the HOA, you may come across children with autism who are wandering unaccompanied within our community. Here are steps to follow if you encounter such a child and are concerned about their safety and well-being:
1. Approach with Calmness: If you notice an unaccompanied child with autism, approach them calmly and gently, avoiding sudden movements or loud noises that may distress them.
2. Offer Assistance: If the child seems lost or confused, offer help in a friendly and nonthreatening manner. Inquire if they need assistance finding their way home or locating someone specific.
3. Clear Communication: Keep instructions clear and simple, as children with autism may struggle with complex directions or abstract concepts.
4. Respect Personal Space: Be mindful of the child’s personal space and boundaries, as some children with autism may be sensitive to touch. Respect their preferences and communicate in a manner that is comfortable for both parties.
5. Contact Parents or Caregivers: If you encounter a child with autism in distress or at risk, do not hesitate to reach out to their parents or caregiver. Provide details about the child’s whereabouts to ensure their safety.

Dance, in its many forms—from acrobatics to contemporary dance— offers a multitude of benefits for children, encompassing both physical and mental well-being. This article explores the various advantages of dance, highlighting why it is a valuable activity for children and referencing credible sources to support these points.
Physical Benefits of Dance
Improved Physical Fitness

Enhanced Motor Skills

Confidence Boost

• Self-Esteem: As children improve their dance skills, they gain a sense of accomplishment, boosting their selfesteem and encouraging them to take on new challenges.
Pro’s of Dance for Children
• Holistic Development: Dance promotes holistic development, addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of a child’s growth.

By integrating dance into children’s lives, we can help them build a foundation for a healthy and balanced future.
CHARGING AHEAD: EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIFICATION WITH LEXUS
Lexus has always been synonymous with cutting-edge engineering, impeccable build quality and a commitment to the utmost luxurious Takumi craftsmanship. Now, the brand is adding another defining feature to its brand plans, a commitment to carbon-neutrality by 2050 through realistic electrified motoring.
Globally and by 2030, the brand plans to achieve a full line-up of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in all categories, and by 2035, aims to sell 100% BEVs globally, contributing to the realisation of a carbon-neutral society. The vision: to utilise electrification technology “as a means to enhance vehicle performance to pursue driving pleasure for all future generations” explains Chief Engineer Takashi Watanabe.
Lexus is committed to introducing more than 10 new electrified vehicles by 2025 as part of
the luxury brand’s ‘Lexus Electrified’ vision, and their forecast is for the sales ratio of electrified vehicles to exceed that of either petrol- or diesel-only models.
With a current market share of 24% within the premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market, Lexus is committed to the ongoing ‘Lexus Electrified’ mission that stretches across all current EV technologies, including battery electric vehicles (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV)
MOTORING
The Multi Stage Hybrid System
The LC 500h self-charging full hybrid powertrain features a 220kW 3.5-litre V6 engine and Lexus’ revolutionary Multi Stage Hybrid System. The total system output is 264kW.
The Multi Stage Hybrid System is one of the most significant technical advances yet developed by Lexus. It overturns the traditional “eco” perception of hybrid powertrains to deliver authentic high performance, unlike anything seen before. In essence, the system uses a multi stage shift device to amplify engine and electric motor output in four stages, making use of the full range of engine speeds. This gives more direct response to driver inputs and a higher level of dynamic performance and driving pleasure.
as well as other electrified models, all of which are planned to be in line with the needs of each country and region around the world.
Lexus increased maximum engine speed from 6,000 to 6,600rpm, while the 0-100 km/h acceleration time remains at five seconds with a top speed of 250km. While the V6 itself is smooth and very quiet, it is less thirsty during throttle openings, helping the driver to save fuel. The Multi Stage Hybrid System’s shift logic produces a smooth and a more linear response, and also sharpens performance through bends with an automatic downshift to second gear when accelerating out of a turn.
Luxurious Craftsmanship
Meticulous attention-to-detail and luxurious craftsmanship define the LC 500h. Its sleek, aerodynamic design not only enhances its visual appeal, but also optimises fuel efficiency, ensuring a stylish and eco-conscious driving experience.
Style and Design
In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the brand plans to focus on the entire lifecycle of its model line-up - from the manufacturing of materials, parts and vehicles, to vehicle logistics, to the final disposal and recycling of older vehicles. Lexus is scheduled to open a new business and technical centre in March 2024 designed to push boundaries and renew innovation.
The spindle grille is finished in chrome and has a mesh design with a visual tension that changes as it spreads across the front of the car. The unique LC lighting signature is created by independent daytime running lights in an arrowhead configuration and ultra-compact triple LED headlamp units. Achieving this remarkably slim headlight design played an important role in helping the designers achieve a low bonnet line and short front overhang. A no-compromise exterior design features 21-inch run flat forged alloy wheels, a boot spoiler with a retractable wing that comes standard, and a carbon-fibre roof.
Locally, the Lexus New Energy Vehicle (NEV) line-up consists of:
SUVs:
Rear Styling
UX 250h EX, UX 250h SE, UX 250h F SPORT, UX 250h F SPORT BI-Tone – Full Hybrid Range
At the rear the coupe’s roof tapers down between muscular wheel arches, reinforcing the car’s wide and stable stance. The Lexus spindle shape is visible here in a three-dimensional form that is generated by lines flowing from the front of the car and along the sides, before cutting back around the inner edge of the rear combination lamps. The line of the spindle then moves outwards, following the shape of the licence plate mounting and outer edges of the tailpipes.
NX 350h EX, UX 350h SE, NX 350h F SPORT and the soon to be launched NX450h+ Plug-in hybrid, RX 350h, RX 500h F SPORT, RX 450h+ Plug-in hybrid.

Buzzing Into Winter:
How Honey Can Boost Your Immunity and Why We Need to Save the Bees
Winter is here, and staying healthy is a priority. One timeless remedy is honey, a sweet powerhouse of health benefits.
Honey: Your Winter Health Ally
Honey is packed with live enzymes, antioxidants, and antibacterial properties, making it a natural immune booster. Use a wooden or plastic spoon to preserve its beneficial enzymes. A daily dose of honey can soothe sore throats, reduce inflammation, and act as a natural cough suppressant. Plus, it contains a substance that enhances brain function, perfect for staying sharp during the winter months.
The Importance of Protecting Bees
Bees are essential pollinators, crucial for the growth of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. However, bee populations are declining due to habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. If you encounter a bee problem, contact a bee removal company instead of exterminating them. Professional removers can safely
relocate bees, ensuring they continue their vital role in our ecosystem. Fascinating Honey and Bee Facts
• Propolis, produced by bees, is a powerful natural antibiotic.
• Honey never expires.
• Historically, honey was used to preserve bodies, such as those of great emperors.
• The term “honeymoon” comes from the tradition of consuming honey for fertility.
• A single bee visits over 1,000 flowers and produces less than a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.
• One of the earliest coins featured a bee symbol, highlighting their value.
This winter, boost your immunity with honey and take steps to protect our buzzing friends. Together, we can enjoy a healthier season and a sustainable future.
Deep gratitude to the humble BEE!
