Project

Sabtiah/Boulaq:
 



In
this
course
AENG
368,
teaching
housing,
GIS
and
surveying,
the
group
project
 was
about
designing
a
housing
development
program
by
going
to
a
slum
area
and
 proposing
a
program
to
upgrade
it.
Prototypes
of
low‐income,
average
and
high‐ income
users
have
been
designed
to
accommodate
a
density
of
400
people/feddan.
 Some
buildings
were
kept
however
other
were
replaced
by
the
new
prototypes
in
a
 designed
master
plan
and
detailed
cluster
to
show
our
design
concept,
which
was
 about
upgrading
the
site
emphasizing
on
it’s
urban
identity
and
the
self‐belonging
 aspect
of
the
users.
