01 TASK; The project entailed one to design a cafeteria that is to be located at the base level 2 (ground floor )of the school of built environment building that was to host students and staff.The project is as a results of the increasing number of student in the school hence eating space was an issue.It also entailed therefurbishing of ADD hall and its auxillary space and improving its acoustic properties.

SITE LOCATION AND CONTEXT; The site is located in Nairobi, Kenyas capital. The city lies within the tropics and is subjected to a tropical climate that is warm and hot. scale, the site is located near the Cental Business District of Nairobi, inside The University of Nairobi. It is boardered by state house road on the eastern side and mamlaka road on the western side.

TASK; The project involves the design of staff housing for the lectuurers from the college of architecture and Engineering located within the university premises and flanked by Dorobo and Kivemia road. The design is to be an ultra modern housing scheme and be environmentally conscious. In this design the scheme is tied down and informed by the existing trees and the general topography of the site. The project entails 5 (four bedroomed units) and 10(3 bedroomed units) that are to be stand alones in the site. the gated community also entails a health club that includes a gym , pool and sauna. 8

03 TASK; Designing a mixed used development in old town mombasa. This should be done in line with the existing context of the provided site which adhere to he swahili construction constants. The building should be able to conserve the aesthetic and partly structural aspects of the previously existing Ali’s curio. 12

The final design of the building is determined by both the PRIVACY GRADIENT and relationship between the spaces to be provided for. The commercial spaces occupy the ground loor because of high human traffic. The offices occupy the first floor while the top floor is made up of the residential spaces.
