Digital Studio The studio was organized in June 2010. It consists of 55 students mainly in Department of Architecture, Tokyo University of Science. We have examined the eects and the possibilities of surface modelings, scripts and devices in digital domain as tools of design thinking under the direction of Daisuke Hirose, representative of Archicomplex. Our foresight is to develop architectural applications while sharing the technologies. Discussion

In this project, I challenged to making a concrete by myself. The ďŹ nal outputting of my process brought to beautiful form having sophisticated details. I introduce my unique processes. 4

It is capable to make a texture of a concrete exactly and beautiful, if the styroform is wraped in firm sheet which use to make a void.

â—‹ The grate Japan earthquake and tsunami occurred on March.11.2010.

My approach for this damage is one FIGURE idea. The FIGURE means that logic, symbol, number, geometry, which are based on a certain rule. It is tetrapod as structure of an avoiding tsunami will be a weapon saving our lives with a grate number of it on the ocean as more larger material, and also they will have been gotten a space which people going through around them.

I will show you the new tetrapod having a new ability.

This tetrapod nothing but prevents the wave, it will also behave as place of the activity for people . And This is a place as if the coral reef's having expressed it.

My planning is big whole sale market in Imabari has view of ocean SETONAIKAI in Japan . This building will come new potential of Imabari as most great amount of a haul in SETONAIKAI areas . Also there is a building in center of this city . Citizen come to here , and will spend good time for shopping or amusement .

Imabari faces Setonaikai . Imabari has prospered as a town of shipbuilding for many years. The great life has been led by the shipbuilding factory and fishing. Today, however, This city does not work as once fascinating that one. I aim at conversion in the big wholesale market which can obtain the first fish catch for the Setonaikai, in order to solve the serious problem of such decline.

Above figure amount of catching fish in whole sale market in 2009. Imabari has grate amount of catching fish in Setonaikai. But it is not sufficient for Imabari to advertise other countries. Imabari has bridge named Simanamikaido This geographical advantage of Imabari so good that Imabari has been connect Honsyu and Shikoku. Therefor I make other market in Setonaikai put together on Imabari once.

android + processing I have challenged android-application developed with Digital Studio. The project which I introduce in it this time is development who used processing. Although processing is used for various designs these days, also in order to build an android-application. Although the code had slight ďŹ x necessities, it is able to easily update to android by a little adapt. First of all, the design which is generated with a ďŹ nger, that did not have former will be attained, because it is the structureoperated by a smart phone not pressing a key but touching a screen. It does not use a pencil, and click a mouse, either.

Computer Android It is easy how to make an android application by using processing. The computer and the android phone are connected ďŹ rst, and then its computer opens processing and it changes a setup into android from a standard. If a code is rewritten for a while according to the system of android and the code is run, the data actually built with the android phone by processing will be sent in.

Operation of the screen by the program and screen touch using the accelerometer which used inclination of an android phone etc.

【TOUCH】 Smart-Phone has a function【TOUCH】 I challenged to design by touching screen, not cricking a mouse. I am thinking about design should be formed by physical, actually computation come to be valid to design. This project figures design by computation and physical. You can design on touching screen.

Projection Mapping Show

SHADOW AND PICTURE Our team s common theme is make a real and unreal at the same time. The recognition of thing he/she is seeing is not capable of understanding correctly. It may be caused by moving or scale of a man s shadow. As a result, The shadow made by real thing and the picture made by animation are in the same space through the building of my university.

Imformation of the site Akabanedai Danch is on Akabane, Tokyo. Akabanedai Dnach means comunity of people live in one range of Akabane apartment. The people have helped each other for a long time. But Akabanedai Danch is going to be lost becouse a new buildings is developed instead of it. I hope to leave Akabanedai Danch as memorial future. Therefor, I suggest that Star House as a symbol of this comunity is replaced to new one as a new symbol which have memory of the Akabanedai Danch .

What is STAR HOUSE Star House means apartment of three family living as same level. Star House is named because the form of plan is likely to star, Star House has advantage is able to get much sun light into room although it is an apartment. But populality became diclining becouse it is too much easy to be see inside of the house as the problem of privacy. However, I think that it will be advantage if the wall is changed how to be use.
