PAIGE TAKEYA | ALOHA NIGHTS COORDINATOR Cozying up to the fire and enjoying some hot chocolate while the snow billows outside – not really a Hawaii thing. Luckily, you and your sweetheart can still get the warm chocolate-y goodness of holiday desserts while spending the night on the town.
BELGIAN CHOCOLATE FONDUE Fondue is a couples’ treat, and how many people have a fondue pot at home? D&B offers gooey dark chocolate with both devilish and guiltless options: marshmallows, pound cake and brownies for the glutton in you, and graham crackers, bananas and strawberries to bolster your caloric self-control. PHOTOS BY: JIMMY EDENS
NEW YORK CHEESECAKE Cheesecake – rich, creamy, heavy – is the kind of dessert that was made to be shared. New York cheesecakes are made with heavy or sour cream, so they’re extra smooth in texture. D&B lets you choose whether you’d prefer a caramel /pecan pairing or a tangy raspberry topping.

D I N N E R D AT E S
PAIGE TAKEYA ALOHA NIGHTS COORDINATOR You want to take your date somewhere romantic as a Christmas date, but there’s no nyotaimori bars in Hawaii (look it up). Don’t stress: Here are four scenarios to make your date dirtier (but more delicious).
1
“I know how you like it. I know how to give you a Triple Orgasm …from Bubbies!”
2
3
Ice cream makes everyone but lactose intolerants happy, but any combination of chocolate, cookies ‘n cream and coffee will surely take your date to a whole ‘nother level.
Pay $19.95 plus tax and then gorge yourself on as much succulent cuts of meat as you can hold. Cheap yakiniku is a treasure to cherish and enjoy.
Bukkake udon isn’t that different from regular udon, really, but you’ll learn a lot about your date’s online interests depending on how he or she reacts to your proposal.
“You’ll really like getting stuffed full of hot meat …from Sikdorak!”

BYOB
Celebrate the holidays with Aloha Nights’ crafted drinks. Spice things up with these naughty recipes.
1 /// CAITLIN KURODA ADVERTISING STAFF WRITER
BYOB
is a beautiful thing, especially for those with a thirst that outpaces their wallets. Consider these BYOB locations for your next holiday gathering.
JJ BISTRO & FRENCH PASTRY JJ Bistro & French Pastry is known for its delectable desserts, but its restaurant has very decent deals made better with your own booze. For $24.70, you can get a four-course meal that features everything from cream of corn soup to crème brulee. We recommend fisherman’s potpie or lamb wellington for your entree. Bring a bottle of wine to share, and the meal is complete.
THE CRANBERRY BLISS
INGREDIENTS: 1 shot Grand Marnier 2 shots Pinnacle Whipped vodka 1/2 cup Cranberry juice 1/2 cup Orange Soda Cream cheese frosting Red sugar sprinkles Martini glass
Sushi is often enjoyed with beer or sake, but many family-oriented restaurants don’t serve alcohol, and many high-quality sushi bars charge equally high prices for everything. The solution: Kats Sushi. Their all-you-can-eat sushi option ($24) includes a selection of simple sushi favorites like maguro (ahi), tamago (egg) and spicy ahi. Address: 715 S King St. Phone: 808.526.1268
THE FAT GREEK Students can enjoy BYOB within walking distance of campus at The Fat Greek. You’ll find standard Greek menu options such as gyros, hummus and lamb. While the restaurant is order-and-go-oriented, dining in (or outside) is made enjoyable with the right company and the appropriate beverage. Address: 3040 Waialae Ave. Phone: 808.734.0404
2 /// Add cranberry juice and orange soda to shot mixture. Shake or stir. 3 /// Coat rim of martini glass with frosting. Sprinkle with red sugar. 4 /// Pour cocktail mixture into glass, and indulge.
2 /// GOODY GOODY GUMDROP JELL-O SHOTS INGREDIENTS: 1 cup Pinnacle Gummy 1 cup Pinnacle Vanilla 2 cups water, boiling Cherry and lime Jell-O flavors Box of gumdrops Disposable shot glasses 2 mixing bowls
INSTRUCTIONS: 1 /// Separate cherry and lime Jell-O into separate bowls. 2 /// Pour 1/2 cup of each Pinnacle into both bowls.
3 /// Slowly pour 1 cup of boiling water into each bowl. Mix until powder dissolves completely. 4 /// Place one gum drop inside each shot glass. Make sure it sticks to the bottom.
Address: 3447 Waialae Ave. Phone: 808.739.0993

WEIRD WAYS TO CURE YOUR
HANGOVER PAIGE TAKEYA | ALOHA NIGHTS COORDINATOR
In this party season, there will be at least one weekend where you wake up feeling like microwaved death. The best cure for any hangover is prevention, but if it’s too late for that, try one of these unorthodox solutions from around the world... 1. TAKE A WASABI BATH Wasabi promotes blood circulation, so you’ll detox faster in a wasabi-infused bath. 2. BURY YOURSELF IN SAND Apparently being crushed by cold, wet sand from your toes to your neck will boost blood circulation. 3. EAT A DRIED BULL’S PENIS When in Rome, do as the Romans do – or in this case, as the Sicilians supposedly do.

WERE YOU THIS YEAR? SAMMI BAUMGARTNER ADVERTISING STAFF WRITER Christmas is a time to celebrate family and friends, as well as an occasion to look back on the year. Were you naughty? Nice? Would Santa squeeze through your chimney this year? A few students confess their deeds to Aloha Nights.

“
I am a girl, and have never been in a relationship; I think it is because I come off as more bro than ho. I’m such a bro that sometimes guys greet me with the bro-shake. I don’t dress like a guy or do stereotypical guy things, so how do I fix this? MONIQUE SAYS…
Your first problem is that you used “ho” in reference to yourself. Let’s make one thing clear: You are neither a bro nor ho. Now that we have this established, I want you to know that you must draw the line somewhere. There are two options to decide from after meeting a guy: strictly platonic, or I-want-to-be-on-you. If you want more than just a friendship, then you are going to have to treat the situation that way. If the guy you are interested in starts to greet you with that awful handshake, go in for a hug. Initially, he might be shocked, but he’ll end up treating the situation differently than “just friends.” You have to stop yourself from accepting this fate, and choose your own course. Take the reins of your relationships, and steer!
Ah, if I had a dollar for every time I was friend-zoned, referred to as “bro” or “dude,” or given relationship advice to a guy I’m totally into, I would be better off than Donald Trump. Although this sounds like a lame position to be in, it’s a gift in disguise. Guys might just feel comfortable around you. This is a positive thing and makes for a great relationship – once you find the right person. When guys naturally feel comfortable with you, it implies honesty, true friendship and loyalty on their behalf. In fact, some of the best relationships I’ve had began from us being friends and not expecting anything more. However, if there is a guy you like, and you feel as if they are friend zoning you, just make a move. Cross that "broline" and if they don't feel the same then 'Kanye-shrug' it off and on to the next! Don’t be worried about ruining a friendship or crossing a barrier, a true friendship stays regardless, and you don’t want to be “just a friend” forever. You don’t need to come off as a ho in order to get into a relationship, because in the long run, remember that bros always come before hoes.
