Senior Napua Salbedo was crowned Miss Hawaiÿi Outstanding Teen 2009 on June 13 at the Leeward Community College theater on Oÿahu. In addition to the scholarship money, she received a $1,000 scholarship from the Miss Hawaiÿi Organization, a custom 14k gold Hawaiian Heirloom pendant, South Seas mother-of-pearl earrings, 18mm silver Hawaiian bracelet and other valuable prizes.
