A Message from
U.S. Ambassador Michael H. Corbin It is my pleasure to welcome you to the U.S. Pavilion at the 15th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC). This is a dynamic time for the oil and gas sector in the United Arab Emirates; a country successfully pursuing a globalized, open economic model and a hub for the Arab World, Indian Sub-continent, Far East and Sub-Saharan Africa. Ongoing projects to increase production levels and modernize existing infrastructure; major new gas projects, such as the development of the Shah gas field; and the ongoing process of renewing concessions for major onshore production will generate significant new marketing opportunities for American firms. I am delighted that so many leading American companies are represented at this year’s event; showcasing the strengths of the U.S. petroleum industry. I understand that over 70 American firms will participate in the U.S. pavilion at this year’s event. As the region’s foremost oil and gas event, ADIPEC presents a unique opportunity to meet the industry’s leading firms and view their latest technologies. I am confident that show visitors will appreciate the innovation and quality that are trademarks of American industry and that are on display in the U.S. Pavilion. In recognition of the prominence of the ADIPEC event in promoting petroleum sector opportunities in the Middle East region, begining this year ADIPEC will be held on an annual instead of biennial basis. Accelerated Monetisation After drilling a few exploration wells, down-hole logging and completion evaluations may show promising reserve potential, but there is no substitute for actual well production to determine if expectations of reservoir quality and well productivity can be met. Renting or leasing a generic Well Testing or Early Production Facility from Pyramid E&C allows observing production rates, accumulating production history and plotting decline curves before committing capital to a larger and permanent facility. This gives the opportunity to use the results of your extended well and field evaluation to determine the reservoir’s long-term production profile to design a suitable permanent facility. Also these facilities allow bringing production on-stream and revenue generation in a fraction of the time it takes to commission a permanent facility. Pyramid E&C has 500, 5000 and 10000 BPD pre-engineered generic production facilities in stock, which can be deployed within a matter of weeks. These facilities are split in several modules for road transport and take couple of weeks to install and commission. The equipment are designed to treat sour crude oil and meet typical crude oil sales specification hence it is possible to recover the investment in a matter of months if not weeks.
