PORTFOLIO ‘22 - ‘24
The proposed new building is located in close proximity to the building of the 5th building of the University of Veliko Tarnovo and the building of the regional administration. This part of the territory is the best developed in terms of infrastructure and proximity to the city.
The structure of the building is reminiscent of traditional Tarnovo construction and the well-known silhouette of the city, where, due to the characteristics of the terrain, we often have a different number of visible floors on different sides of the building.
The facades are completely covered with glass showcases. In places where shading is needed (south and west) the metal cantilevers protrude by 2 meters, and the use of sun protection films with a gradient from top to bottom is also envisaged.
Materials were used in accordance with the type of designed public building, its functional requirements and specific features of the project solution. Wood is a material present throughout the interior of the building, along with glass, albeit in different combinations.
The architectural design of the theater will combine traditional and modern elements. The exterior will feature clean lines and large waved glass facades, reflecting the surrounding historic buildings while incorporating contemporary materials.
Inside, the theater will include a main auditorium with seating for 800 people, designed to offer excellent acoustics and visibility from every seat. The stage will be transformable with state-of-theart with the possibility of a different configuration of the seats.
