Day 1 You will begin with the visit one of the largest fort complexes in India, Golconda Fort, followed by the Qutub Shahis tombs. The entire dynasty, with the exception of the last king, is buried in the same complex, a necropolis of sorts, west of the city. Next you will visit the Charminar and Makka Masjid, the one of the largest mosques in India, followed by walking the winding road along Laad Bazaar to Chowmahalla Palace.

Be accompanied by a geologist on a walk through some of the oldest and wellpreserved natural rock formations in India. Explore Nirmal paintings, Zardosi embroidery, Kalamkari art, Bidri metal crafts with an expert, followed by visiting a calligraphy artist’s gallery.

Excursion to Warangal’s Forts and Temples
Take an excursion to the heritage town of Warangal, the ancient capital of the Kakatiyas. Visit the Warangal Fort, the once glorious fort from the 12th century, built of slate-stone is a fabulous example of early medieval sculpture and architecture. Ramappa Temple and the 1000 pillared temple are the remnants of the Kakatiya’s undying devotion and their love for the arts. The ancient town has several such uncovered secrets within its fold.
