promo pack presentation

Page 1

General aesthetic/aim : • Sleek • Colourful, either dull or very strong colours • Very illustrative, modern spin on traditional • Experimental – imagery, pattern, colour • ‘Messy’ but at the same time well laid out and easy to follow- separated into 3 parts, pockets • Mostly suitable for book or maybe editorial illustration, but the main audience is for books

Business Cards: • I thought of quite a few ideas for the business cards, to create brand new work for them . But then I realised that non of what I was creating was as strong as some of the work I already had, so I decided to use an illustration I created for 603. • I’ve picked the b+w piece as it presents my skills and favourite visual themes. I’m not sure about the pink though, I think it fit’s the b+w image really well but the aesthetic vibe it created is not really what I was going for. I might change it to something slightly less ‘sleek’ , maybe greyish blue.

CV: My work contains a lot of collage and traditional art elements, so I decided to incorporate that into my CV. In general I based it of off actual artwork I already made before in order to show the client what they can expect. I haven’t got much experience actually working in the creative sector, so for the experience that I do have I highlighted it further with the acquired skills . The format is also almost a square, it suited collage better as that takes up a lot of the side, it’s more unique than a standard A4 as well as it was directly designed to fit into the promo pack.

Promo Pack (mock-up):

Folded outInside

• The promo pack would be a square when folded, with two pieces of my artwork on the front. • The back would carry on the artwork and would also contain my name and contact details (same as on the business cards). • When opened, the inside would be made out of 3 parts: the sides (which would be narrower than the middle) will contain my business cards on one side, and A5/slightly smaller samples of work (around 3-5). The samples would be dependent on who I’m sending it to, to make it as relevant to them as possible. They’ll be held in paper pockets. The CV will be placed in the middle, and would be able to be taken out. • When folded the promo pack would be aprox. 20 by 25 cm.
