Fish Lake Resort offers spacious banquet facility Fish Lake Resort has a beautiful and spacious banquet facility for your next event, whether it be a wedding or wedding dance, banquets, parties, fundraisers or friendly gatherings. Fish Lake Resort and Banquet Facility offers a spacious totally remodeled and air-conditioned facility for year-round use. Jeff and Lila Kremers are the new owners since April 2007. No longer a roller skating rink as in years past, prior to the Kremers. The banquet facility can now offer service next to none in Kanabec County, with ample parking and camping facilities. The Kremers offer full catering services for events, including all staff and linens. The large lakeside deck will have you enjoying the warm weather months more and the new friendly resort atmosphere. If you haven’t already, Jeff and Lila invite you out to enjoy the new atmosphere and good food. Jeff and Lila have worked hard since 2007 to establish the Fish Lake Resort and Banquet Facility. They offer very reasonable prices for your events to make your event memorable and also put more money back into your pockets and the community. Jeff and Lila recommend early reservations to insure your preferred date; however, they also welcome short notice events. Throughout the summer, Fish Lake Resort is open seven days a week. Monday through Friday they are open from noon to 1 a.m. and on Saturday and Sunday they are open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays breakfast is served 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The kitchen is open until 10 p.m. daily. Currently, they have two weekly night specials. Friday night at Fish Lake Resort is all-you-can-eat fish and on Tuesday is Mexican night. Fish Lake Resort also has freshly baked dinner rolls and buns. They currently have 63 permanent RV sites and 34 that are weekend campers for RVs and tents. Meat raffles take place every Saturday throughout the summer and will be on Sundays throughout the winter. The Ogilvie Lions also have their pull tabs at Fish Lake Resort and look for your support to help the community. Fish Lake Resort has something for everyone. Come see it for yourself!

We think of you every day and have our memories of you and all the good times we all shared with you, my Son. You are so dearly missed in so many ways and we wish so much that you were still with us. We don’t take the time to realize how important each of us are in the family until one of us is taken away and then we feel the emptiness from the loss of that person. We have all missed you, Rick, so much in our everyday lives here. We all send our love to you. Mom, Deborah, John, Jeffrey, Jesse, Keisha, Karmin and Chase

ARLENE H. PETERSON Arlene Harriet Peterson, of rural Mora, died on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Haven House in Cambridge. She was 84 years old. She was born April 11, 1927 in Eleva, Wisconsin to Lewis and Alma (Johnson) Norby. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bennett Valley Lutheran Church and attended school in Bennett Valley. In 1944 she came to Minnesota and worked first in Minneapolis and later at the Grasston Northwoods Novelty Company. A neighbor encouraged her to purchase a set of skis and introduced her to cross country skiing which she enjoyed for many winters. Her family and friends were

important to her and she enjoyed corresponding with them via letters, cards and phone calls. She loved traveling with her granddaughters to various cities in many states to attend their competitive diving events. Christian faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since her marriage to Curtis. She was a member of the ladies WELCA Group and enjoyed hosting the ladies Bible Study Group in her home for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis; parents; stepmother, Jeannette; daughter, Barbara Davis; and stepsister Bonnie De Witt. She is survived by son, Roger (Darlene) Peterson of Brooklyn Park; grandchildren, Pat (Michelle) Horn, Ryan Peterson, Coral Day-Davis and Chelseana Davis; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kayleigh and Kayden Horn; sister, Alice (Roy) Robertson of Eau Claire, WI; half-brother, Larry (Pat) Norby of Bloomington, IL; and half-sister, Ruth Mattingly of Bloomington, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brunswick with Rev. Lori Blake officiating. Music was provided by Jacki Peterson and Misty Nelson. Pallbearers were Pat Horn, Ryan Peterson, Tim Peterson, Orvin Halvorson, Roger Robertson and Dick Stafford. Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora. Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome. com.
