At the October 27th, Regular School Board meeting, Carolyn Drude presented the Mora School Board with the results of the General Obligation Bond refunding/sale and a certificate recognizing an underlying credit rating from Standard and Poor. FRANK O. REAL Frank Oren Real died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at the age of 79.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Crider Real of Grasston; three children, Stella Teresa Real Werner and husband Steven of Pine City, Rachel Kim Nelson and husband James of San Jose, Calif., and Anthony Frank Real and fiancée Janet Hill of Corinth, Miss.; three stepchildren, Keith Crider of Eagan, Alan Crider and wife Krissy of Mora, and Lila Syverson and husband Kent of Eau Claire, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Henriette Community Free Methodist Church on Nov. 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is taking donations for a memorial to be placed at the church.

Special thanks to Monsignor Suchan for his visit to our home before surgery and the ICC Women’s Prayer Shawl group for the beautiful prayer shawl I received.

Family of Stanley “Spike” Wiener

TRUDY L. GARRISON Trudy L. Garrison of rural Frankton, Ind. died on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at St John’s Hospital in Anderson, Ind. after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 61 years old.

She was born April 25, 1950 in Mora, the daughter of Joseph and Norma (Moline) Brockner. She attended grade school in a one-room schoolhouse in Knife Lake Township and later graduated from Mora High School in 1968.

On Nov. 13, 1971 she was united in marriage to Lowell Mitchell at the Fish Lake Chapel in Mora. To this union they had two beautiful children, Gordon Lowell and Dawn Marie. She was a mother and housewife. She moved to Indiana in 1989 and later was united in marriage to Russell Garrison on Feb. 7, 1999.

She communicated with family members through phone calls and hand-written letters. She loved to garden, cook, sew and enjoy the great outdoors. She loved life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family wishes to thank St. John’s Hospice and Home Care for the exceptional care they have provided for her.

She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Norma (Moline) Brockner; brother, Benjamin John Brockner and foster parents, Stanley and Ruth Soderstrom.

She is survived by husband, Russell Garrison of Frankton, Ind. who was a loving and caring husband and loyal friend for 22 years; son, Gordon (Kelly) Mitchell of Ogilvie; daughter, Dawn (Dusty) Heald of Ogilvie; brothers, Greg (LuAnn) of Mora, Larry Brockner of Mora, Michael (Cathy) Brockner of Mora, Joey Brockner of Mora and Bob Brockner of Mora; sisters, Vicki (Michael) Plumley of Mora and Mary (Richard) Heding of Elk River; five grandchildren; stepmother, Carol Brockner of Cambridge; stepfather, Kenneth Olson of Mora and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at CopherFesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood, Ind. with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) through the funeral home.
