Bunkhouses and cabins will be available to participants who wish to help count cranes the following morning, 5:30-7:30 a.m.. APRIL 14 IT’S A SPRING THING GARDEN CLUB LUNCHEON The Town and Country Garden club is having a spring luncheon, “It’s a Spring Th ing,” at 12 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 414 S. Wood St, Mora. The Substance Abuse Coalition of Kanabec County invites the community to a free presentation and community discussion about the opioid epidemic from 6:30-8 p.m. at Ogilvie High School.

This presentation and discussion will feature local leaders in the health card, law enforcement, prevention and recovery fields.

Attendees will learn about opioid and drug trends nationally and in Kanabec County as well as proper ways to dispose of unwanted, unused prescription drugs, how to identify drug abuse and prevention strategies.

The OWN IT! Student Group will be hosting a craft sale and silent auction and their student run coffee shop will also be open.
