Doug has lived in Foley for over 20 years with his wife of 38 years and two sons. His sons are grown now with children of their own. After graduating from Ogilvie High School, he spent four years in the Navy.

In September of 2015 Doug was diagnosed with stage 4 blood and bone cancer. He is currently receiv-

ing chemotherapy treatment and will be followed up with a stem cell transplant and kidney surgery.

Surgery was scheduled for mid August in Seattle. Due to surgery and treatments, Doug has many medical bills and expenses. He is currently unable to work and may not be able to return for many months.

National Hunting and Fishing Day A Great Tradition, Source of Pride Since 1972 In the 1960s, hunters and anglers embraced the era's heightened environmental awareness but were discouraged that many people didn't understand the role that sportsmen played—and continue to play—in the conservation movement.

SEPT. 17 MORA BIKE TOUR The 36th Annual Mora Bike Tour will start and end at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center. The 2016 tour will offer the options of a 25 or 50-mile course with both starting out together. Check in and registration begins at 7 a.m. with the tour beginning at 8 a.m.

Water and food stops are located along the course. People Powered Sports of Mora will offer mobile repair service to those in need.
