He was the E youngest of seven children, Jim, y Sharon, Carol, Steve, Maryann and S Margaret. Raised on a farm outside M of o Mora, he served his country in the Navy N from 1959-1963. In 1968 he was united in marriage to t Jean Schwantke. In their 10 year marriage they had two daughters, m Jennifer Neumann and Clarice J Tweet, (son-in-law, Bob Tweet), T granddaughter, Jamie Breeding and g grandson, Carter Halverson. g A machinist by trade, he was always trying to figure out a way to fix or build something. His love for classic cars and fixable tractors was endless as were his stories. He always had a new one to tell. Any visit with him would have at least a story or two told and usually one more right before you left. His knowledge and stories will truly be missed. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation by Dresser-Methven Funeral and Cremation Services.
THANK YOU
A very heart felt thank you to everyone who kept and who are keeping our daughter Abby in their thoughts and prayers as she continues to recover from a stroke she suffered on Jan 18 of this year. Special thank you to all who visited, sent cards, flowers, gifts and food. It is very much appreciated! Abby is going to need another surgery to correct the AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation), which caused the stroke. She is continuing weekly physical, occupational and visual therapy for next several months. We would also like to thank Abby’s friends for setting up a Go Fund Me page and a special thank you to all who have donated to her cause to help her with her ongoing medical expenses. If you would like to donate and can go to gofundme.com/f/AbbySkluzacek There has also been an account set up at Frandsen Bank and Trust in Pine City for those who want to donate but prefer not to do it online. We are blessed to live in a community that gives so much love and support during difficult times! God Bless You Loren and Robin Skluzacek

3. Quarter-pound of meth seized near Pine City: Pine County deputies took a quarter-pound of meth off the streets during a traffic stop. Ong Xiong, a 43-year-old Cottage Grove woman, is facing felony charges for drug possession. According to the criminal complaint, on Jan. 15 a Pine County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on a routine patrol on Tigua Road outside Pine City when he observed two vehicles leaving what was described in the report as “a known drug house.” One vehicle immediately pulled back into the driveway, but the other vehicle, a Honda Pilot, kept going. The deputy noticed the vehicle drifting over the fog line numerous times and also noticed a crack in the windshield. The vehicle turned on to Interstate 35 heading north where a traffic stop was initiated.
