JUNE 30 KNIFE LAKE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION Begin the day with a pancake breakfast at the Knife Lake Sportsmen’s Club, 2825 Hwy 65, Mora, 8-11 a.m. Pancakes, sausage and beverages will be served. There is a cost.

The boat parade will take place at 1 p.m. with registration at 12:30 p.m. In case of rain, the parade will be moved to 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to best Independence Day themed boats. Boat registration is at the Hwy 65 rest area.

“Light up the Lake” with flares will take place at 9:45 p.m. with fireworks to follow. Flares will be available for purchase at the pancake breakfast.

JUNE 30 & JULY 1 BIG BROTHERS/SISTERS BENEFIT On Saturday, June 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, July 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the public is invited to the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Central Minnesota fundraiser benefit at the community center in Rush City.
