The North Chisago Historical Society program on Oct. 1 will be “The History of the Rush City Fire Department,” presented by Dave Schroeder, a long time fi reman. He will discuss changes that have occurred through the years, including equipment updates, modes of operation, firefighter skills and types of fires. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos and stories of fi res in their residences and businesses, along with how this affected their lives. In years past the Fireman’s Auxiliary was also an important part of the Rush City community.

This meeting will be held at 7 p.m, at Rushseba Town Hall, on Old Highway 61, just north of Rush City.
