The big game has once again moved into warmer territory. In 2014, New Jersey played host to the Super Bowl and surrounding festivities, and people worried about players not being acclimated to the cold climate. However, the weather proved warmer than expected, and the Seattle Seahawks dominated the Denver Broncos en route to their first Vince Lombardi Trophy.

SNG Services Gunsmithing & Tool Sharpening

SNG Services is a gunsmith service, licensed firearms dealer, and full-service tool sharpening shop located just south of Mora, Minnesota. Owned and operated by Kanabec County resident Shawn Paul, SNG Services is a local company with a nationwide footprint. One of a few full-time gunsmiths in Minnesota, Paul has worked in gunsmithing since the 1980s. He likens the workings of a firearm to those of a vehicle. You bring your car to a professional mechanic when the transmission needs to be rebuilt, he says; and when a firearm needs service or repair, you should seek out the same level of care and expertise. As an experienced firearms mechanic with 30 years’ experience, Paul provides a level of excellence that can’t be found many other places.

SNG Services • Repair and customization of firearms • Sale of new and used firearms

Paul has a nationwide reputation, and is often consulted by firearms professionals across the country to fix and solve problems. He raised his family in the Mora area, however, and is committed to serving the community long-term. He treats customers as friends, and shows the same care for their firearms that he does for his own. Paul values his reputation and guarantees his work, believing that “if it can’t be done right it shouldn’t be done at all.” SNG Services also provides tool-sharpening services. From drill bits to lawnmower blades to scissors and knives, Paul can hone just about anything with a blade. “I can sharpen everything but your wit!” he laughs.

• Consignment sales • Insurance appraisalss • Sporting goods • Ammo sales • Hunting equipment and accessories • Large in-shop inventory

If you own a gun that hasn’t been fired in a while or needs repair, bring it to SNG Services for a full cleaning, inspection, and test fire.

• Firearms transfers • Pre- and post-season cleanings and safety checks • Full line of sharpening services for home & commercial users • All work guaranteed

Come in as a Customer... Leave as a Friend! Business Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8am-5:30pm, Sat. 8am-5pm

Jan. 22-28 Week of

2015

ARIES - Mar 21/Apr 20 Take a leadership role on a work assignment, Aries. If your interest in work has been waning of late, a more active role may help you change your perspective.

LIBRA - Sept 23/Oct 23 Libra, rest assured that a broken heart or bruised ego will not last too long. There are big changes ahead in your personal or professional life, so keep your eyes open.

TAURUS - Apr 21/May 21 Taurus, there is nothing you cannot accomplish this week. The sky is the limit in terms of your potential. All you need to do is focus your energy on a particular task.

SCORPIO - Oct 24/Nov 22 Taking charge comes naturally to you, Scorpio. In fact, you thrive in this role. But this week you may have to play second fiddle for the good of the team.

GEMINI - May 22/Jun 21 Let something that’s been bugging you cool off for the time being, Gemini. There’s plenty of time to revisit the situation later, and you will be glad you took some time away.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov 23/Dec 21 You seem to be operating on auto-pilot this week, Sagittarius. Your routine has become so ingrained that things are automatic. Make a few minor changes to liven things up.

CANCER - Jun 22/Jul 22 You’re willing to give a loved one the benefit of the doubt when that person makes a proposal that seems to come out of nowhere. Your patience will be appreciated.

CAPRICORN - Dec 22/Jan 20 Spend the week in as much quiet contemplation as you can manage, Capricorn. You have a few big questions to work out and can only think when you have private time.

LEO - Jul 23/Aug 23 Expect to be surprised by good news, Leo. Share your good fortune with others this week, and you will realize the good news will prove even more enjoyable.

AQUARIUS - Jan 21/Feb 18 Aquarius, dissatisfaction at work has you wondering if things would be different elsewhere. Sometimes a change of attitude can give you an entirely new perspective.

VIRGO - Aug 24/Sept 22 You may benefit from a change of scenery, Virgo. If you have the time, book a getaway to an exotic locale and make the most of this time to rest, relax and recharge.

Thank You! The Knife Lake Sportsmen’s Club would like to extend our gratitude to the local businesses and residents who so generously provided gifts of merchandise, cash and services to our annual Ice Fishing Contest held on January 17, 2015. We also extend thanks to those who worked with us to help make our event a success: Knife Lake Sanitation, Sanitary Systems, Paul’s Auction Service, the Kanabec County Sheriff ’s Reserves and Boy Scout Troop #191, along with the many volunteers that helped both on and off the ice. Without all of you, and of course the many, many fishing contestents, we couldn’t have had such a great day! The winners of the biggest fish contest were Kate Anderson with an 11-inch, 10.75 oz. crappie, Ken Schelander with a 10-inch, 8 oz. crappie, Shelly Zych with a 9-inch, 6 oz. perch, James Beckmann with a 9-inch, 5.5 oz. perch and Travis Stucky with an 8-inch 5.75 oz. crappie. We had a shocking, tremendous turnout of over 500 anglers and registered 16 fish.
