- OPEN POSITIONS City of Hinckley Job Posting Assistant Liquor Store Manager The City of Hinckley is looking for one (1) motived, energetic individual to work as a part-time Assistant Liquor Store Manager.

Under general supervision of the Liquor Store Manager, the Assistant Liquor Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager to organize, develop, plan, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations of the liquor store and bar. The position is expected to work both retail clerk and bartending shifts whenever needed, flexibility is key. Position works Monday 3 pm – 1 am, Thursday and Friday 4 pm – 12 am, and Saturday 5 pm – 1 am. Other shifts as needed/assigned by Manager.

Supervision Exercised: Supervises Retail Clerk/Bartenders and Custodian.

• Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate. One to two years of retail experience, preferably in a retail liquor operation (Municipal preferred).

• Desirable Qualifications: Two year degree in business administration, marketing, merchandise retailing or related field. Four years responsible progressive experience in a retail liquor operation (Municipal preferred). Previous supervisory experience.

Conditions of Employment: Must possess valid Minnesota Driver’s license or the ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of employment. Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background examination. Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.

Starting Salary: Starting range is $14.00 - $16.00 per hour, plus excellent benefits including: paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, retirement, and life insurance.

ROGER L. STEGEMAN Roger Lyle Stegeman of Mora died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. He was 88 years old.

He was born on July 28, 1929, in M Mora to parents Conrad and Ethel ((Ulrich) Stegeman. He grew up on the ffamily farm, attending country school iin rural Mora. His first real job, aside ffrom helping his parents farm, was ssetting pins at a local bowling alley. He bbegan an almost 40 year career with L Land O’ Lakes as a bulk milk hauler bbefore moving into ice cream producttion at the plant. He worked his way up tto warehouse foreman before retiring.

On Feb. 19, 1950, he was united iin marriage to Ramona Ruth Schultz aat the Ogilvie Lutheran Church. The couple c lived in Mora until the early 11960’s when they purchased a hobby ffarm west of Mora. For a number of years, he kept one milking cow, two pigs and 100 chickens on the farm. He always had a huge garden and apple trees to feed his family, but also enough to share with neighbors and friends in need. In 2013, after suffering a stroke, he moved to the St. Clare Living Community in Mora where he made many new friends and reconnected with some old longtime friends.

He loved to dance. He could take over the dance floor with his waltz and polka moves. He began dancing as a young man and continued into his fi nal days. He enjoyed fishing trips with his sons, watching and feeding the birds, putting together jigsaw puzzles and taking long walks. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and served in various capacities. He was also a member of the Ann Lake Sportsmen’s Club for many years. He will be remembered by all for his outgoing, generous, humble and friendly nature and for being able to make everyone laugh. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ramona; grandson, David; sisters, Hazel (Maurice Clark and William Brockman), Marion (Ralph) Williams and Irene (Magnus) Risdahl; sister-in-law, June Stegeman and brother-in-law, Roy Foust.

He is survived by children, Rick (Kathy), Doug (Lisa) and Dan; grandchildren, Jeff, Brandi (Lance) Blanchet, Amanda Stegeman (Huy Doung), Melissa (Adam) Noreen, Mark (Trista), Christy (Kyle) Fletcher, Anthony (Brittany), Solie and Emma; 15 great- grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd and Vernon (Vickie); sister, Clara Foust; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church of Mora with Rev. Rick Marcy officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.

Arrangements are by the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.

SECTION 00100 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2018 FAIRVIEW SCHOOL ASBESTOS REMOVAL PROJECT 707 McLean Street Mora, Minnesota Independent School District #332 will receive sealed bids for the 2018 Fairview School Asbestos Removal Project until 12:00 p.m. local time on March 2, 2018, at the Independent School District #332 District Office, 400 East Maple Avenue, Mora, Minnesota 55051, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A mandatory pre-bid walk through has been scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview School, 707 McLean Street, Mora, Minnesota.

Bidding documents, including the Bid Form, Drawings and Specifications, will be on file at the Institute for Environmental Assessment, 9201 West Broadway, Suite 600, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota 55445. This project includes the removal of pipe insulations, interior and exterior boiler insulations, tank insulation, duct insulation, carpet, floor tile and mastic, chalkboards and adhesive, tack boards and adhesive, casework, unit ventilators, window systems and exterior soffits.

Bidders must use the bid form supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered.

Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Independent School District #332 in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond.

Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of the bid opening without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
