Particpants will have an opportunity to meet with transfer advisors from four-year colleges and universities and learn about financial aid, student services, admissions, disability and counseling services and student-parent resources.

ERNEST R. BLISS Ernest Raymond “Ray” Bliss, fformerly of Mora, died on Wednesday, M March 16, 2016 at Signe and Olivia’s A Assisted Living in Ogilvie. He was 83 yyears old.

He was born May 31, 1932 to Ernest F Ferdinand and Eunice Bernice (Swansson) Bliss at Bruno. He spent his early cchildhood in Greeley.

The family moved to Rush City where w he attended school. He graduated a from Rush City High School in 1950.

1 He was united in marriage to Lois L Kranz on July 1, 1958 and together g they raised their four children.

They were married for 65 years.

Following high school he worked at several different jobs. He was a milkman for quite a while and worked at Cambridge Launderers and Cleaners for 42 years. He loved working with everyone at Cambridge Launderers and Cleaners, especially Bob and Paul.

After his stroke on June 16, 2010, he could no longer work and it was at that time that he moved to Signe and Olivia’s.

He enjoyed many hobbies. In 1959, he played third baseman on the softball team from Harris. He loved to play and thoroughly enjoyed that experience. He also enjoyed skiing in the winter and riding his bike in the summer. He rode his bicycle quite a long distance, making trips to Rush City, Mora and other places. He loved to garden and he enjoyed making many things with wood, such as sleds and wagons. In recent years, he attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marlys Lindquist.

He is survived by wife, Lois; sons, Scott (Michelle), Tim (Louise), Terry (Kathy) and Jon; grandchildren, Matthew, Nickolaus (Felicia), Mitchell, Karesca, Anthony, Stephen, Addyson, Amelia; brother, Lowell Bliss and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora. Memorial Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Inurnment will be in Fish Lake Lutheran Cemetery at Stark, Minn. at a later date.

Arrangements are being made by Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.
