320-384-0001 Miraculous Prayer Dear heart of Jesus in the past I have asked for favors. This time I ask you this very special one (mention favor). Take it dear Jesus and place it within your own broken heart where your Father sees it, then it will become your favor, not mine. Amen. Say this prayer for 3 days, promise publication and favor will be granted. Never known to fail.

6 - ADVERTISER, MAY 13, 2012
In Memory of my beautiful mother Lil Stromback who passed away 2 years ago on May 9, 2010. As I sit safe in heaven, And watch you everyday I try and let you know with signs, I never went away! I hear you when your laughing, And watch you as you sleep, I even place my arms around you, To calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, Begging to have me home So I try to send you sings, So you know your not alone! Don’t feel guilty that you have life that was denied me, Heaven is truly beautiful Just you wait and see! So live your life, laugh again! Enjoy yourself, be free Then I’ll know with every breathe you take, You’ll be taking one for me. Love you Mom!

Crystal Bar & Grill M
ost of us who live in or near Mora, know of The Crystal. The food is consistently great 824 S. Union St., Mora (most of us have our favorites – mine is the Deli Delight sandwich), the atmosphere is friendly and fun, and Mike and Deb treat their guests like family. I had a chance to discover Mike and Deb Hallin, who have owned the Crystal now for just a year, as of May 1st, though their anniversary celebration will be on Sat. May 19th . The celebration will Lesley, Mike, Deb & Chad Hallin include everything from breakfast with Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s to an ole’ fashioned steak grillin’ out back with festivities inside. From 9–midnight they welcome Tim Haus to entertain us into the night of dancing and fun. I was interested to find out about this couple who took a leap of faith, purchasing the restaurant from brother, Jim and Beth Hallin just over a year ago - during an age when the most of us feel that the economy is so iffy. Neither, Deb nor Mike had any experience with bar or restaurant ownership, but the Crystal, being an icon of our community was a pretty sure bet – no question about that. Mike and Deb have not made any huge changes at the Crystal – especially in the menu. People expect to come in for their favorites, for example - the Crystal Burger and that is what they get – secret spices and all. Mike emphasized the importance of consistency. The food is always good, just as it was when you were in the last time! In the dining area, they added a few of their favorite antiques and have added a couple of accordion walls to accommodate private parties up to 125 as well as smaller parties of 40 – 50. They also pointed out that they cater and will travel to your particular site. Deb Hallin was born and raised in Mora. She has worked for the Mora School District for the past 22 years, with the last 10 as a Special Education Teacher. Mike moved to Mora from Coon Rapids
UPCOMING EVENTS:
when he was 17. After 38 (!) years of commuting to Minneapolis, he decided – enough! The opportunity of purchasing the Crystal Bar & Grill was there and they decided to go for it. They have raised two children in Mora, one of whom still lives here. Mike enjoys taking time to get to know each of his customers – something that he never had time for before. He also is a certified umpire, umping local softball games whenever possible. Both of their children, daughter Lesley and son Chad, are active at the Crystal, though both are fully employed elsewhere. Deb and Mike take their family time very seriously and are devoted parents as well as grandparents to three young children. We have a wonderful ‘work family’. We care about our employees and thank them "for all the help they have been to us. They, too, help the Crystal be what it is today.” The Chamber is thrilled to include the Hallin’s of The Crystal as members. This family and their business is a wonderful part of our community and we hope that they will be with us for a very, very long time. by Karen Amundson

Unlike conventional furnaces, GeoComfort geothermal systems burn no fossil fuels that cause harm to the environment. The EPA recognizes geothermal systems as the most environmentally-safe, cost-effective heating and cooling system on the market. In addition to the benefits to the environment, GeoComfort geothermal systems also significantly reduce your monthly utility costs and provide unparalleled comfort for your family.

THANK YOU The family of Minnie Folkema would like to sincerely thank everyone that came to her visitation and/or funeral, expressed sympathy and remembered us in any way since her death. We are appreciative of the many acts of kindness shown us through prayers, cards, memorials and flowers. We would like to extend our gratitude for the exceptional care and kindness that FirstLight Health System extended to our family during Minnie’s care. Dr. Donner, nursing staff and all the support staff were very professional and compassionate during a very difficult time. A special thanks to Mike Ingebrand and staff of Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Service for his assistance and compassion at this time, making a difficult time a little easier. Thank you to Pastor Fowler and wife, Robbie, for their visits and prayers; to those who were a part of the service celebrating Minnie’s life and to First Presbyterian women for preparing and serving the delicious lunch after the funeral. Also, thank you to Eastwood Senior Living staff for their acts of kindness and giving Minnie a place to call “home” during her last year. Finally thank you to everyone who shared in any way in Minnie’s 100 years of life. While she touched many and loved everyone, her life was also enriched by the many friendships and relationships she enjoyed. We were blessed and we will forever miss her. The family of Minnie Folkema
