3. ‘Change needs to happen everywhere’: It started with one person. On May 31, 20-year-old Cordell Major stood by himself at the four-way stop at 8th Ave SE and Main Street in Pine City and held up a sign. He had heard about Floyd’s death and the charges against the officers. He watched footage of the protests in the Twin Cities, and the riots that followed. Major didn’t want to be part of any violence, but he wanted to help make a change.

OGILVIE TOWER PARK GIFTED NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
The Tower Park in Ogilvie has some long-overdue, new playground equipment. The equipment was installed earlier this month, with landscaping expected to be fi nished by the end of the month. The equipment was donated to the city park through a partnership of the Ogilvie and Mora Lions Clubs. The old swings and slides that remain on the site will be removed.

JULY 7 SERVICE UPDATES FROM MORA SENIOR DINING Meals on Wheels delivery increases to twice a week. Hot meals are available Mondays and Wednesdays, and up to five frozen meals can be included for the rest of the week. Please call us at (320) 679- 4029 to reserve your Meals on Wheels delivery.
PINE CITY SENIOR DINING The Pine City Senior Dining Program will be providing some hot meals for the meals on wheels clients and those that pick up their meals, including congregate diners. The hot meals will be provided weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays as follows: Mondays: one hot, two frozen Wednesdays: one hot, three frozen.For those that want to pick up once a week (either Monday or Wednesday) they can do one hot and six frozen. Individuals 60 and over are eligible for the Catholic Charities dining program. Those within two miles of Pine City can have their meals delivered. Meals listed in Senior Dining Section. Currently milk and bread will not be included.
