Mora Public Schools
District Wide New Student Registration Information 2019-2020 Welcome to Mora Public Schools! New student registration is just around the corner, so mark your calendar for the following: Mora High School (Grades 7-12) Tuesday and Wednesday, August 6th & 7th, 2019 High School Office from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 400 Maple Avenue East, Mora, MN 55051 Mora Elementary School (Grades K-6) Tuesday and Wednesday, August 6th & 7th, 2019 Mora Elementary Office from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 200 9th Street North, Mora, MN 55051 In Mora Public Schools, the registration process is important to not miss! All students new to the Mora District are asked to register on these days so they can receive individualized attention and have all their questions answered. Waiting until the Open House to register makes it difficult to get student records and information in time to start on the first day of school. If you would prefer to expedite your student’s registration process, enrollment forms are available on the school website (www.moraschools.org ) under “Parent/Student Services” then “Student Registration Forms.” Parents/guardians, please be sure you accompany your new student(s) when registering as they can’t register without you. In addition, please provide the office with a copy of the student’s birth certificate as it is required by state law to show proof of age.

Health & Wellness Guide
110 7TH STREET NORTH, MORA, MN 55051
People looking for a good cardiovascular or aerobic exercise may not need to invest in a gym membership or treadmill. According to Rally Health®, a digital health experience that helps you make simple changes in your daily routine, walking can be an effective cardio exercise if one goes at a brisk pace of at least three miles per hour. Walking at this pace can effectively push the heart and lungs to work hard without adversely affecting the joints in the way that other aerobic exercises might. Harvard Health says that walking of any kind can help people maintain healthy weights, lower their risk for various diseases, keep blood pressure in check, lift mood, and strengthen bones. A number of studies also show that walking can help people improve memory and avoid age-related memory loss.
