Is it possible to to throw a small rock in the ocean and create a tsunami? Is it possible an ant in Paris to be responsible for the big earthquake in Japan? Is it possible, a simple flirt, between a shy guy and a girl under Acropolis to bring change in a small city like Kalamata? Yes I am talking about the chaos theory or more specific a variation of it, called the “butterfly effect”. It’s all about mathematics in the end of the day... or it’s all about chaos?
The chaos theory is so true as your life itself. Try to reflect the random events and elements which made you what you are now. Try to think the little simple things which changed your views, beliefs and route in life. Try to think about this girl or boy who broke your heart. The teacher you didn’t like. The teacher who inspired you to chase your dreams. The people who heart you, loved you, shouted at you, calmed you down, brought peace in your soul. Think about the moments you managed to empty your mind by just looking at the sea, or staring at a tree. The daily interaction with your environment is the one which makes who you are and influences your future.
DITORIAL
Your present might change the route of history in the future. Edward Norton Lorenz said; “Chaos: When the present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future.” Conclusion; You cannot predict your future. But if you are active in your society, you demand, you give, you flirt, you love, you build, you are honest with yourself... the chaos will somehow bring everything together and all these dynamic systems of social interaction will offer you the satisfaction to be part of the change. And as there is no perfect society, there are no perfect people, each generation should fight for a change while the previous one is fighting to preserve the present. If you are about to make a resolution for the new year, promise yourself that you will be active in your social context and you will work hard for it. Don’t wish big, act big! As much as you can... no more, no less... and let the chaos to do its job!
Happy new year 2015 Filaretos

Every Wall is a Door:
Inclusion and employability for youth with fewer opportunities By: Agnieszka
On the 7th of November 28 youth workers from 13 diffe-rent countries gathered in Kalamata for a one-week seminar about inclusion and employability for Youth with fewer opportunities that took place in the framework of KA1 of the Erasmus+ programme. Participants of the seminar came from Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, UK, Poland and Cyprus.
Subjects of the seminar were relative to the issue of youth unemployment and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities to the labour market. Participants were actively participating in different sessions, learning about youth structures, about communicating with young people, about the ways to empower and support youth. Participants were exchanging their practices and creating new methods to help youth organizations and people working with young people to develop new and improve already existing activities. Sessions were combining as well theory as practical’s. The participants had to assess the needs of young people using different tools. They were working in different groups, randomly selected or matched because of interest’s areas. After each day they had chance to reflect about seminar and progress they were doing, which helped coaches to make every day more interesting and to adapt more to the participants’ needs. The participants didn’t miss opportunity to learn about cultural diversity as well. During intercultural night everybody learnt about some unfamiliar facts of the countries participants came from. Traditional snacks and drinks made the event even more culturally attractive. Participants had chance to participate in traditional Greek dance workshops and to taste local cuisine. And not to forget about all experience, during seminar one of the local volunteers Nuno Davide was working on graphic facilitation. With the bunch of new friends and new ideas for working on the issue of the youth unemployment 14th of December participants left Kalamata to work in their own organizations testing new tools and methods they got to know during seminar.
