is there half an orange for you out there? is there a half orange for you out there?
We are surrounded by romantic love in the pop culture: tales, movies, songs… but have you ever thought about the fact that we have exactly the same patterns in every fictional product in 2022 that we used to have in medieval time. In every work of fiction, we have the same idea: meeting your half-orange. The halforange theory is the people’s belief in the idea of an ideal partner who completes them and makes their life wonderful and easier. And it doesn’t come from medieval times, but even earlier. To understand the origin of this idea we have to go back to 385 b.c. where Platón, and his Aristo phanes mythology. Aristophanes explained that at the beginning every human was perfect, and it was made with four arms and legs , and one big head which possessed the perfect balance. They were so powerful that they sometimes went up to challenge the gods. Zeus was so mad at this that he decided to break them in 2 parts (women and man, man and man or woman and woman) making them incomplete and less powerful. This division made, each half made efforts to find the other half from which it had been separated; and when the two met, they embraced and united, driven by the desire to enter into their
ancient unity, with su embracing, they pe hunger and inaction, n do anything without t being completed aga powerful and almost these 2 parts should again. That means someone out there who you. This ideal situat something beautiful an the movies and books, not that convenient to mindset. Thinking on having someone as a p something you need f and being “complete” very dangerous on a level. The belief in th require someone for b and happy and that going to fix everything very toxic, and it fa behaviors and hin relationship behaviors. one person who compl if it was a Tetris is not s good. It makes us to break-ups as a failure a it easier for us not on relationship that we do but to be more pro emotional dependence to try to control th Everyone has their own
h such ardor that, perished from on, not wanting to out the other. For again and being most indestructible, hould be together ns that there is who was made for ituation looks like ul and fantastic in oks, but maybe it is nt to live with this on the idea that s a partner is really ed for feeling well ete” is something on a psychological n this idea of you for being complete hat this person is hing in your life is it facilitates toxic hinders healthy iors. Trying to find ompletes our life as not something very s to perceive the ure and that makes t only to stay in a e do not want to be proactive to feel ence, jealousy and l the other too. own defects but ,
with this mindset, we are looking for the other person to solve them because he/she/it is supposed to be the answer to everything that is going up in our life. So If they are bad and we know it… Why people don’t stop to think like this? And why if even though they realise this kind of behaviours and beliefs, they don’t change? Because It is scary. Change the way you live and the way you think is hard because it is is a safe place where you have been during your whole life. It is normal to be scared of starting to live different because apparently this type of behaviours and thoughts are not that bad, at least for your brain. Society also has a big impact in this. It will push you to don’t do it, because everyone is in this mindset and in this system of beliefs. But you can start to change progressively by questioning these ideas and behaviours when we detect them.

STORY OF THE
The Apple as a Love Symbol: In Ancient Greece, for a man, throwing an apple towards a woman was considered as a declaration of love. To answer positively to this declaration, the concerned party had to pick the apple up. This old tradition is inspired by the following Greek myth:
The Story of the Candy Apple: Candy Apple is from the USA. Indeed, it was in 1908, in New Jersey, where the first Candy Apples were cooked. This famous dish was the creation of William W.Kolb, an American confectioner. By chance, a day when Mr. W.Kolb was preparing his melted sugar for the candies, he had the great idea to dunk some apples in his preparation. From this resulted Candy Apples! How to cook Candy Apples ? Across the ages, the Candy Apple has known numerous variations according to the different countries, cultures, and tastes.
Upset not to have been invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, while all the deities were invited, the goddess Eris decided to sow discord there. To do it, she threw an apple with the inscription “For the prettiest”. Thus, a dispute between Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena started and the Trojan prince Paris was chosen to decide on who was the prettiest. In order to win Aphrodite promised Paris the most beautiful woman in the world, and he accepted.

RESUME OF THE TITANIC Deep-sea explorer Brock Lovett has reached the most famous shipwreck of all - the Titanic. Emerging with a safe believed to contain a diamond called 'The Heart of the Ocean', he discovers the safe does not hold the diamond but a drawing of a beautiful woman wearing it. When Brock is later interviewed on TV, he shows the drawing to the cameras, and a 100-year-old woman named Rose Calvert living in Michigan recognizes the woman in the drawing - herself! On a visit to Brock's explorer ship over the wreck, Rose tells her story of the Titanic and its ill-fated voyage. Engaged to a would-be steel magnate, Caledon Hockley, she boards the Titanic's first-class suites with him and her mother in Southampton. Also boarding are Jack Dawson and his best friend Fabrizio De Rossi, after a lucky poker game wins them tickets in steerage. When Rose attempts suicide by jumping off the stern in thirdclass, Jack pulls her back onto the ship... and a bond is forged between them as Jack is invited by her into first-class the following day. Rose's mother and Caledon Hockley try desperate measures to keep them apart. But that strategy goes out the window when the Titanic collides with an iceberg, and due to a design flaw begins to sink - despite being proclaimed 'unsinkable'. Now Rose and Jack must fight to stay alive, but is young Jack already doomed because of his lower status as a steerage passenger?

RESUME OF PRETTY WOMEN Because of his extreme wealth and suave good looks, Edward Lewis could seemingly have any woman he wants, that committed significant other which he needs on his arm at social events to further how he makes his money as a corporate raider. However, he focuses more on his corporate raiding pursuits with his partner in crime, Philip Stuckey, his lawyer of ten years, than those women, with every significant other he's had in his life feeling neglected and eventually leaving him, this fact about which he is just coming to the realization. In Beverly Hills, Edward, in needing that woman on his arms as he and Philip work toward taking over the company owned by the increasingly insolvent James Morse, decides, based on a chance encounter, to hire Hollywood Boulevard hooker Vivian Ward as his escort for the week 24/7. He does so because he wants to have a professional who would be committed to the work, yet not have any commitments to her after the week is over. Beyond their chance encounter, he also makes this decision because she surprises him about how unhookerish she is in certain respects. Vivian, relatively new to Los Angeles and the business, still has to look and act the part, with Edward, beyond giving her money, leaving her largely to her own devices to do so. So she gets a somewhat unlikely Henry Higgins in Barney Thompson, the manager of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel where Edward is staying. Barney has to draw that fine line of keeping the hotel's upscale clients happy, while maintaining the posh decorum of the upper class, which does not include people coming into the hotel looking for rooms with hourly rates. As Barney and his associates are able to transform Vivian into a Cinderella, the questions become whether Vivian can go back to her Hollywood Boulevard life and whether she does have her Prince Charming beyond this week in the form of Edward or anyone else who truly does see her as Cinderella as opposed to a Hollywood Boulevard streetwalker. RESUME OF CMBYN CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, the new film by Luca Guadagnino, is a sensual and transcendent tale of first love, based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman. It's the summer of 1983 in the north of Italy, and Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a precocious 17-year-old young man, spends his days in his family's 17th-century villa transcribing and playing classical music, reading, and flirting with his friend Marzia (Esther Garrel). Elio enjoys a close relationship with his father (Michael Stuhlbarg), an eminent professor specializing in Greco-Roman culture, and his mother Annella (Amira Casar), a translator, who favor him with the fruits of high culture in a setting that overflows with natural delights. While Elio's sophistication and intellectual gifts suggest he is already a fully-fledged adult, there is much that yet remains innocent and unformed about him, particularly about matters of the heart. One day, Oliver (Armie Hammer), a 24-year-old American college graduate student working on his doctorate, arrives as the annual summer intern tasked with helping Elio's father. Amid the sun-drenched splendor of the setting, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.

VARIETY
Call Me By Your Name is a masterful work because of the specificity of its details.
Even as he beguiles us with mystery, Guadagnino recreates Elio’s life-changing summer with such intensity that we might as well be experiencing it first-hand. It’s a rare gift that earns him a place in the pantheon alongside such masters of sensuality as Pedro Amodóvar and François Ozon, while putting “Call Me by Your Name” on par with the best of their work.
RESUME OF POALOF In 1760 France, Marianne is commissioned to paint the wedding portrait of Héloïse, a young woman who has just left the convent. Because she is a reluctant bride-to-be, Marianne arrives under the guise of companionship, observing Héloïse by day and secretly painting her by firelight at night. As the two women orbit each other, attraction and intimacy grow as they share Héloïse's first moments of freedom. Héloïse's portrait soon becomes a collaborative act of and testament to their love.
