Experience :

In 2021, I took part in a research project tutored by Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal, which intended to better understand the relationship between residents and architecture by investigating the altering of social housing in Sydney, finding a new perspective to see what role architectural design can play to create a better environment for people.

I have studied architectural design at the University of Sydney for five years. Last year, I was studying with Dr Dagmar Reinhardt in a project named Multi-senses Museum, which aims to provide accessible museum experiences for people with disabilities. As a team, Dr Dagmar and us students designed and held a mini exhibition in Chau Chak Wing Museum. I was responsible for researching related themes (marine biology and history), designing and modelling interactive tactile objects and installations.

This project provided me with experience in designing exhibitions in museum spaces and a better understanding of design principles. After that, I studied with my tutor Felix McNamara in experimental research on AI’s influence on the aesthetic field, referencing Dadaism and Surrealism, which focus on the relationships between human perception and ideology. I also took part in the Super Studio 2022 held by the Australian Institute of Architects, winning the first prize in NSW and being listed the top 3 projects in Australia. This project was also chosen by the AIA and dePICT to feature for issue 02, “Repairing communities through design’.
