New Teatime in London

TRADITIONAL TAKEAWAY EXPERIENCE Create a new tea experience in London

RESEARCH AND APPROACH : Primary research started with a first hand experience of tea drinking with some friends & visiting tea shops and tea houses to interview customers and sellers.

CONCLUSIONS FROM QUESTIONNAIRE : Tea has become an underdog, it’s popular without people knowing it is. Its unoriginal coffee style packaging acts as a disguise, with all the style and tradition of tea put aside it has lost its meaning, bringing with it a lower form of tea drinking.

INITIAL IDEAS : I wanted to design something to make tea stand out in its takeaway form. I started to look at combining the traditional tea handle with the average takeaway cup
