If you are like most people, you have ambitious goals for the future. And as your life gets fuller, goals such as building a home or sending a child to college can demand more and more of your financial resources or change over time. With careful planning, one – or all – of your goals are possible. In fact, it’s never too early to intensify your efforts to prepare for a brighter tomorrow.

Low-cost protection Most level term life insurance policies don’t offer death protection beyond 30 years. That leaves few alternatives for many people in their early 30s or younger who want long-term, low-cost life insurance protection. Until now.

Example: • 30-year-old male. • Desires guaranteed $100,000

death benefit protection to

age 65, funded with level

annual premiums.

• Purchases a SuperNOVA

universal life policy with level

death benefit option.

• Pays annual premiums each year

and takes no distributions (loans

or withdrawals).

Using the SuperNOVA’s guaranteed policy assumptions, including a guaranteed minimum 3-percent interest-crediting rate, a 30-year-old male (rated preferred nontobacco) could purchase a SuperNOVA UL with a $100,000 guaranteed level death benefit to age 65 for an annual premium of $444. Based on current assumptions and a higher interest-crediting rate (nonguaranteed), the cash surrender value at age 65 could exceed the total annual premiums paid, possibly reducing the cost of the SuperNOVA to a $0 net cost outlay!

SuperNOVA is a universal life (UL) insurance plan that combines low-cost insurance protection with an accumulated value that earns interest at competive interest rates with the flexibility to increase or decrease premiums or change the policy death benefit. Consider Kansas City Life Insurance Company’s SuperNOVA to give a boost to your goals.

Navigating a brighter tomorrow SuperNOVA lets you chart your own protection course by providing security today with the growth potential you need for tomorrow. The proceeds of your policy can provide immediate cash to: • • • • •

Fund an education. Replace your income and provide for your family after you’re gone. Supplement your retirement. Pay debts and other obligations. Settle your estate.

Own a company? SuperNOVA can help with: • Business continuation. • Key executive protection.

Flexible premiums You select the amount and frequency of premium payments (subject only to minimums and maximums specified in the policy). As long as there is adequate cash surrender value to pay policy expenses, you can: • Increase premiums to accumulate cash values more rapidly. • Decrease premiums when money is less available. • Stop premiums for a period of time. • Pay in advance to reduce premiums in later years.

Superior cash accumulation Choose the death benefit option that’s right for you and your goals. As insurance needs change, you may be eligible to switch to another option. Whichever death benefit option you use, death benefit proceeds generally are paid income tax-free to your beneficiaries. Death benefits will be reduced by any loan balance. Option A Level Death Benefit Under Option A, the death benefit is equal to the specified amount. This level death benefit combines a decreasing net amount at risk (pure insurance protection) with an increasing accumulated value. Option B Increasing Death Benefit The death benefit is equal to the specified amount plus the accumulated value. The net amount at risk is equal to the specified amount and remains level. This option helps to maximize death benefits. The death benefit increases as the accumulated value builds. Option C Return of Premium The death benefit equals the specified amount plus all premiums paid minus any distributions you have taken through withdrawals.
