KAPPA ALPHA ORDER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
B4B History The Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation’s Bid for Brotherhood (B4B) began in 1998 in Kansas City, Missouri. Started by then Knight Commander James R. Estes, B4B serves to combine an alumni event with a meaningful fundraising activity to establish an endowment for KA’s valuable leadership and educational programs. By providing a grant the Order annually, the costs associated with providing outstanding educational opportunities are minimal to our undergraduate members. The eventual goal is to have all of KA’s programs available to every undergraduate KA at zero cost to them. As of last year, the net income raised through B4B events has totaled more than $854,600. Each auction event continues to grow and it is our hope that this 21st annual B4B, held at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia will be our best yet. The listing to the right shows all of the previous B4B locations.

Shaping our Future – KAOEF’s Fund of Need Help us meet our $25,000 Goal! Across the street stands Centennial Olympic Park signifying outstanding achievement, excellence and spirited competition to be the best in a given sport. In this venue, The College Football Hall of Fame, we are surrounded by the very best in college football. Everyone and every team represented here gave 110% to succeed on the gridiron.
Just like these two iconic venues, Kappa Alpha Order’s regional Province Council program represents our commitment to excellence, our commitment to instill KA’s values, and to aid in the further development of our undergraduate brothers.
Each spring, thousands of KA undergraduates gather to attend these educational programs. From small group discussion, to large group facilitation, members are engaged for a day and a half. Through high impact training, these leaders and future leaders are empowered to challenge their chapters’ brothers to strive for excellence. Additionally, this leadership and values-based education provides valuable lessons our members will utilize throughout their entire lives.
Therefore, this year’s 21st annual Bid for Brotherhood “Fund of Need” goal is $25,000 for the KA Province Council program. Our hope is that those of you here tonight will step up in support of this critical component of Kappa Alpha’s educational programming, thus enabling KA to achieve new heights of excellence in the Greek world. Last KA Standing Be sure you’ve purchased your “bingo card” for the chance to be the Last KA Standing and win a Pearl & Garnet Jewel Badge. Just like bingo, if you have all the numbers on your card when called and are the last one standing, you win the Jewel Badge.
