CIVIC SECTOR OF EUROMAIDAN GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT EuroMaidan Newsletter # 22 Donbass separatist “referendum” a farce Russian supported, controlled by armed militants On Sunday May 11, in the Eastern regions of Ukraine, armed separatists held an illegal “referendum” on becoming independent from Ukraine. Around 24% of registered voters in Luhansk Oblast and 32% in Donetsk Oblast voted in the socalled ‘referendum’.
