Training in London and studying in Paris - it is all possible Mikhail Anuchkin, International Business Student
I began my studies at Karelia UAS in Joensuu, Finland, in August 2014. In summer 2016 I was accepted to a six-month internship in London. I began to work in Customer Service department of a company dealing with online business platforms and developing games. After two months, I was promoted to Quality Assurance Analyst in Quality Control department. Therefore, my contract was prolonged and internship lasted seven months. During my third year, I performed my exchange studies in Paris, France at Novancia Business School. I was happy to receive Erasmus+ funding both for my intenship and exchange. During my internship and exchange period, I could feel the support of my International Coordinator, Ms Heidi Vartiainen, every single day. With her help, I was lucky to find a job that was suitable for my skills. The company I worked for was mostly interacting with Italian and Russian corporations, hence, my capacities matched the company requirements perfectly. Within the next two years, my goal is to finish my Bachelor degree. After that, I would like to apply for a Master’s degree in Finland, Italy, France or UK. (Therefore, I plan to undertake the GMAT exam and pass it with good score.) During my internship, I got really interested in Quality Management and would like to work with quality issues also in the future. Personally, I think it is essential to find a field of international business that you like, and go for it. Therefore, it is important to find the right time and right job position already when studying.
