SUSTAINABLE BUILDING PROJECT IN JUNIN

1st Prize contest category multifamily building

ARCHITECTUREdesign 4

The draft Archs. Gonzalo Cáceres, José Ellero, William Orme and Ezekiel Pistone won First Prize Category 3 (multifamily building) in the National Sustainable Works.

May we have a better planet with the design of these houses Environmental characteristics • The project is located in the city of Junín, belonging to the bioenvironmental zone iii with a humid temperate climate with hot summers average temperature 22.5 ° C and winters with averages of 9.5 ° c. • The temperature range is kept constant throughout the year at 12 ° c. • The annual average relative humidity is 75% (82% winter and 65% summer). • Rainfall occurs mainly from November to march and are around 1,000 mm annually. • The prevailing winds in the area are the pampero in summer, from the south-west and the sudestada in autumn and spring, from the southeast-east with an average speed of 13 km / h. • These factors were the starting point for the proposition and generation of our proposal. • We believe that the main factors controlling climate is relatively high temperatures and humidity in summer.

FORMAL-FUNCTIONAL POSE •In urban areas, one of the main intentions was to generate, through the removal of the building, a transition between public and private space for better integration with its surroundings. •Projecting a building consisting of two blocks, linked by a central circulation core open. •Each block, ground, is a unit which has an inner courtyard creating more sunlight and ventilation. •In order to increase the area of green areas, parks propose ground floor and terrace creating recreation areas at different levels. •Spaces orientation responds to the sun's path. •Areas served were placed to the east / north leaving the service areas to the west. In this way we generate a protective thermal barrier on the bedrooms and living areas. •This outline reduces heat gain on the west facade, hard hit in spring and summer. •Each block contains a particular function so treat your facades respond to the operations set. •In this way, we get more light in environments that do not.

Ought to love the planet

Tilt-up Repair Contractor uses repair products that provide fast and smooth patching. Tilt-up concrete panel repair calls for a strong, high-quality material that sets quickly. Making smooth, durable repairs is essential for tilt-up walls. Contractors need products that will adhere to the existing panel and provide a flat, even repair. Top tilt-up repair contractors have been using CTS Rapid Set products for many years to meet these needs. One of the products that can be used for tilt-up repairs is WunderFixx. Tilt-up repair contractors find that this material provides quick, long-lasting repairs that are aesthetically pleasing.

All tilt-up construction projects are in need of patch work after the concrete panels have been erected. There will be imperfections and pinholes on the outer side of walls, which must be patched prior to painting. Some tilt-up buildings might require as little as 5% of the wall to be patched where others may require up to 100%. The average job will require about 15% patch work on the tilt-up wall. A tilt-up project can take anywhere from a week to two months to patch depending on the size of building and amount of patch work required. After the patch work is complete using WunderFixx, the tilt wall can be painted in as little as three hours.

Silicone joint sealants from Dow Corning Corp. were selected for use in the reconstruction of the primary runway at Andrews Air Force Base to provide a performance seal for the concrete joints. Also referred to as Joint Base Andrews, the base operates the only military runway within the National Capital Region and supports the presidential airlift mission (Air Force One), aeromedical evacuation flights, and contingency response scenarios.

Construction for the future - Turning buildings green Multiple opportunities to improve the sustainability of buildings are presented by research. Measures including careful choice of materials and effective refurbishments could play a vital part in improving resource efficiency, potentially reducing the construction sector’s overall energy consumption by a startling 42 percent and greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent Greenhouse gas emissions, energy use and water consumption by the construction sector all present significant environmental impacts. The importance of reducing these impacts is reflected in the call for a Communication on Sustainable Buildings in the EU's Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe, to address inefficiencies in construction by proposing new measures which aim to reduce the environmental impacts of buildings throughout their life cycle.

The studies in this issue highlight innovative new methods and improvements needed to monitor and improve sustainability at every stage of the construction process and after completion. For example, interviewed professionals felt that using a Building Information Model, a common repository that stores all the knowledge needed for a construction project, could help incorporate sustainable practices from the very start of a building project, but better integration of the software is needed.

AROUND THE WORD

Modern Architecture as a movement primarily driven by technological and engineering developments since the availability of new materials (such as steel, concrete and glass panels) can lead to the development of new construction techniques from the industrial revolution from this, the city MUST grow rapidly and architecture framed within urban environments, so could make way for urban development. That has as object of study to the cities, from a holistic perspective should cope with the responsibility of directing urban systems towards sustainable development

BEIJING AND ITS FAMOUS "BIRD'S NEST"

El Estadio Nacional de PekĂn

This magnificent work is a landmark of modern architecture and a great Olympic legacy. The concept that was conceived ideas can reuir: ecology, science, technology and culture. Among other things, 'the nest' has a water recovery system of rain on the roof, so that they could recover 60,000 tons annually rainwater in perfect condition.

Depending on the type of facade to rehabilitate, we can take care of waterproofing with repellents, cleaning the facade, traditional stucco work and painting, trying all the construction details that make the facades: rails, slats, forged fronts, sills, fascias, cornices, etc.. We have the best solution to the problems of leaks and condensation
