WMIM runs singing and social networking groups for people aged 50 and over in the community.

We provide the venue, the music and the refreshments. All you need to bring is yourself.

We are a fun and sociable group where you can join in and have a good time, no matter what your singing ability.

The Benefits

Sessions consist of an hour of group singing, led by a qualified musical director, followed by refreshments and an hour of social activity.

About The Founders

Sarah and Kate set up With Music In Mind in 2015 with the aim of providing a service to improve wellbeing and reduce the risk of social isolation and loneliness.

With Music in Mind is a not for profit Community Interest Company. In order to run our groups and provide support to local communities we rely on fundraising. Sarah’s background as a researcher in Gerontology led her to a wealth of information about the benefits of music, group singing and socialising. Through Kate’s background as a qualified physiotherapist she has a strongly held belief that singing and socialising can have a great impact on both physical and mental health.
