For the deck, cantilevers will serve as the roof, being supported by the walls of the main room.
The main room would have glass at the sides of the roof to let sunlight in during the day.
The materials to be used will be timber and glass. There would also be some steel beams to support glass. The structure of the roof would be simlar to the image on the left. http://inhabitat.com/cascading-green-roofed-mountain-dwellings-by-big/big-mountain-dwellings-6/

The aesthetic design of the roof is inspired by the form of spiral stairs. So when one looks at a certain angle, the individual would be able to see the roof as an image of a staircase. The height of the roof differs on the function of the room. For instance, the main room needs to be the highest among the others since it’s the main room and the kitchen in inside - to let smoke/ air to flow.
