- Workload was sufficient - The workload was a bit much for an online intro music class, though it wasn't difficult. - Not bad, listening journals were kind of annoying. - The work load was good, we stayed busy but never seemed overwhelmed. - Workload seemed fair... a LOT of reading though. - I feel like there was alot of papers to write but it was not so bad because I enjoyed what I was writing about. - I found the workload to be very manageable. -
Since it is an introduction to music, I felt as though I was applying for the doctorate program. I felt that her grading was based on you knowing years of music.

- This course was a lot of work for a 3 credit course. -
Since it was an online class there was a great deal of work, which was expected. I think that the way she spread out the paper assignments was good though. Even though there was a lot of work, she allowed us enough time to get the assignments done.
- Medium workload.

- Learning how to listen to music differently - The teacher was enthusiatic about the subject, and exploring different music was interesting to me. - The collaboration amongst students and seeing all the different styles and types of music people were passionate about or enjoyed. -
I put "disagree" on the question if I had a strong desire to take this class, however now I am extremely glad I did and would suggest it to anyone. Dr. S does a great job!
I liked the flexibility of the course. All assignments were clearly defined at the beginning of the semester. This gave us time to plan out - our other classes so we didn't get backed up with homework (or at least that's what I did). I also liked how friendly the instructor was. She was always very friendly in answering our questions and always answered them almost immediately. - I liked that I was introduced to a new way of listening to music. - I liked the blogs where we interacted with other students. I learned about lots of different music that way. - the different assignments were fun, - I enjoyed the chances we had to explore different types of music through the concert reviews - The writing assignments - The concert reviews, and attending the concerts. -
I liked the blogs. I think that the blogs were really the only way that we could really connect with the other students in the class. The blogs allowed us to get our opinion across while also seeing and reading other peoples views on the assignment or question asked.

- None - The number of papers could be cut back. -
Nothing really, some of the work was a little tedious. I think the blog section could most definitely just be placed under the discussion board tab, it would make more sense and is easier to access, see comments and reply to specific comments
There was one pet peeve I had that I didn't really want to say anything to be the one person who critiqued the little stuff; however, the syllabus due dates did not match the specified due dates. I felt the syllabus was recycled (which is fine) from a previous year; however, the dates were not switched. I almost missed a due date on the first concert review due to the incorrect date on the syllabus. Other than that, I really don't have any other suggestions. This class was well organized and well taught. - I would say nothing. Great Course and Great Instructor. - The online textbook site was buggy and slow, but when it works it is very nice. When it doesn't work it's very frustrating. - Make it an introduction to music , an outline for quiz.. A direction. It was the typical online course.. Read, teach yourself - Instructor does a great job no complaints - Ease up a little, was a little too dramatic. I would have rather taken this class actually at campus, rather than online. I think it would make the learning experience easier to - actually have the teacher there in front of you to talk to, or other students to discuss, but the blogs definitely made that easier. But the teacher was great.
