How to Use this Manual
This Manual has been divided into and is published in six parts: Part I: Corporate Governance Introduced Part II: Good Board Practices Part III: Shareholder Rights Part IV: Disclosure and Transparency Part V: Special Focus Section Part VI: Annexes The first four parts contain chapters that focus on core corporate governance issues, such as a company’s board structure, information disclosure practices, and shareholder rights. Part five focuses on corporate governance issues of particular importance in the Russian context, namely corporate governance concerns during a company’s reorganization, within holding structures, and relating to enforcement. Part six, finally, offers practical tools in the form of model documents, for example company codes, by-laws, and contracts. All issues are closely examined through Russian law and regulations, the FCSM Code and, when applicable, internatio nally recognized best practices. While it is recommended to read the entire Manual to gain a full understan ding of the corporate governance framework in Russia, it is not necessary to read all the chapters in chronological order. The reader is encouraged to begin with a topic of interest and follow the links and references included in the text for gui dance to other chapters.

Lien identity should always be surrounded by a minimum area of space. The safe area ensures that headlines, text or other visual elements do not encroach on the logo. The area is defined by using a third of the height of the logo which is referred to as x. A margin of clear space equivalent to 0.3x is drawn around the logo to create the invisible boundary of the area of isolation. For example: logo height = 10 mm area of isolation = 3 mm around all sides of the logo This area of separation is a minimum and should be increased wherever possible.

We use a basic colour palette to avoid using different versions of the same colour. Our primary colors in print are white, Lien Blue and Lien Red. Those are the colors of our logotype and the color people can associate with the brand. On-screen colors are illuminated and/or projected. The accurate and consistent representation of Lien palette will therefore always be dependent on the age, quality and calibration of each individual monitor or projector.

• Lien’s logo should be bottom centered or in the lower right hand corner in case of promotion. The promotional brand’s logo should appear in the top half of the page, generally centered. It can appear in a square window device. When a partner joins this sponsorship, Lien’s logo should always appear in the right hand lower corner (signature or sign-off corner) with the sponsor logos appearing to the left of the logo at an appropriate size. • For co-branding Lien’s logo should always have an equal visual impact to the partner(s) logo. For co-promotions which do not include equal partnership, logo proportions need to be established according to the terms of the participation agreement. These guidelines should be followed to maintain the integrity and visibility of Lien’s trademark. • Place Lien’s logo in the lower/higher right-hand corner of printed items whenever possible. • Never place a partner logo, or any other graphic image, within the safety zone of Lien’s logo. • Lien’s logo should never appear in a size less than the specified minimum requirements.
