Hi! I am Karin van der Vegt, graphic designer and illustrator. I graduated from art school in The Netherlands and have worked for over 14 years as a designer. I have been working on a wide range of creative projects for clients in the health industry, food and restaurant industry and greeting card companies. Since I started my own business Revista I have refound my love for patterns and handmade illustrations. Whether it is a drawing with fineliner or brushpen on paper, a watercolor painting, linocut print or paper collage, I like to start with handmade items and arrange them on my computer. This way I can use the best of both worlds. I love the loose and fun look of handmade the possibilities of playing with color, layering and composition digitally.

From linocut butterfly to cushion cover

In this Summer Style Guide I would like to show you my designs in different techniques. I like to experiment with materials to keep it fun and refreshing. Within these different trends and techniques my style is recognizable, colorful and playful. My patterns are often used for home decoration, stationery and childrenswear. I am available for work on a commission base. If you have questions or would like to work with me, please contact me at karin@revista-ontwerp.nl. Karin van der Vegt, revista-ontwerp.nl
