ACADEMIC CULTURE CENTER
The project is located in a very heart of the city in a though urban context, between new office buildings and old socialist realism housing estate. It fills the gap in an urban quarter creating the space for students from Warsaw University of Technology. Because of its closure to the subway station, the two first floors are taken back creating the walkway. From outside visitors have access to the entrances to subway and to shops and lobby on the first floor. Each level has a different function. On the second floor, there is a library and room for the exhibition. On the two tiers above there

are located auditorium, foyer and supportive rooms. Two last storeys are dedicated strictly to students and their social and academic activity. They are connected with each other with traces and stairs creating a unique outside space isolated from hustle and bustle of the city. A 4th floor is a place where club and canteen are located. On the 5th floor, there are classrooms and spaces to work. The main characteristic of the building is a copper ribbon framing the glass facades. The setting of the copper blades highlights the quarter’s corner and the main entrance to the building.

DZIAĹ DOWO BREWERY
The design is a proposal for adaptation abandoned old military barracks and attempt to bring life to the old brick walls by converting it into a brewery. The general idea is to create a path on which people could see the process of producing beer from the very begging like harvesting hoops and ending with tasting the final effects. The front decaying wall is replaced by a curtain wall preserving the arrangement of the former wooden
2
structure. This wall and the glass roof allows sunlight to come into the main open space of the building. Visiting the brewery starts from indoor hoops poles, then through the staircase visitors can see the exhibition showing the history of this building. Two parts of the building are connected with the footbridges viewing the hoops and the tasting area in the middle part of the first floor. The last storey is dedicated to administration and offices.

GREEN GATE TO ZIELONKA PROJECT INFO: Former clay pit, Zielonka, Poland | academic project | individual work | fall semester 2015/16 | 25 January 2016 | design | drawings | visualisations | technical details suppervizor: arch. Michał Brutkowski (Poland) mb@archigraf.eu
The Green Gate to Zielonka is a design established in a very specific context. The localisation of the building is the levee between two water basins formed at the place of former clay pit. Design replicated the shoreline creating the path going through the whole building. Visitors walking on that track are able to see the panorama of the whole park and have access to the deck going along with the whole longitude of the complex. All rooms with different functions are located along the path and are grouped in two solids.
18
Those two parts are connected with each other with aisle viewing to sides of the levee. The building has two main functions, recreational and cultural one. In the first part, there are located exhibition space, cafe, water equipment rental and administrative rooms. Conference room and exhibition space are based in second part. Used materials refer to the local nature trying not to stand out from the surrounding.

On the ground floor, there is created a walkway between two main solids giving access to the staircases and to the green patio. The first floor is dedicated to shops and small services and cut-off corner emphasize the walkway and entrances to the building. HOUSING ESTATE SOUTHERN URLYCHĂ“W
Approaching the design process it was crucial to create new housing estate which is fully functional and resident friendly. The aim of the project was to propose complex of residential buildings and supportive ones in the place of the former industrial plant. General idea standing behind it is to establish a local centre with main public square and school from which varied functions are spreading. On the west side, there is located line park isolating estate
5
from hustle produced by planned expressway. It is continued along the borders as an Avenue with trees. What is the most characteristic is the irregular pentagonal grid creating the streets and borders of smaller housing units. Major vehicular transport is handled by 3 circuits. Mine part of the design has the most developed commercial character. Major shopping passage starts from the square in the centre and continues till the end of the establishment.
