What does it mean for a laptop to have Evo certification? For a laptop to be Evo-certified, it must meet a certain set of criteria. Intel Evo laptops are engineered to help remove lag, distractions, and dependency on battery chargers — ensuring users can receive exceptional experiences from anywhere.

How do laptops receive Evo certification? What types of criteria do they need to meet? The Evo™ certification is a robust process led by Intel engineers to guarantee that designs meet all the required specs and deliver a bestin-class experience to users. All designs on the Intel Evo platform have to meet certain key experience indicators, such as consistent responsiveness on battery, waking from sleep in less than one second, nine or more hours of real-world battery life on laptops with full HD display, and four or more hours of battery life in a 30-minute charge on laptops with full HD display. This certification ensures consumers get the same experience, regardless of which brand of laptop they choose.
