Digital Integrator Position Description Role Description The Digital Integrator will lead, develop and support all teaching staff across Stages 4, 5 and 6 in the use of digital technologies to enhance students’ learning and ensure technology is effectively integrated into the curriculum. This is a 0.6 FTE position, across three days a week, commencing in Term 1, 2017. Reporting Relationship The Digital Integrator is ultimately responsible to the Principal in all aspects of the position and directly responsible to the Director of Curriculum. On a day-to-day basis, s/he will also work closely with the IT Manager.

Role Responsibilities The following list is indicative of the responsibilities attached to the role. The Principal may assign additional duties from time to time. -

Support teaching staff to embed new technologies into the curriculum across a range of subjects through modelling, lesson demonstrations, professional development, team teaching and co-operative planning. Provide training to teachers in a wide range of digital technologies to support designated assessment tasks in Stages 4, 5, 6. Support teachers in designing rich assessment tasks, utilising digital technologies in interesting and effective ways. Develop online training modules and training videos to support staff in using the school Learning Management System (Canvas) and School Management Systems. Conduct induction sessions for all Queenwood ICT processes and systems for new staff. Be informed of current and emerging developments in digital technologies and communicate these clearly to all teaching staff. Be knowledgeable about BOSTES curriculum requirements of ICT skills for students across stages 4 to 6 and how these can be implemented. Be knowledgeable of the draft Australian K – 10 Digital Technologies curriculum and plan for its implementation across the curriculum from 2017 onwards. With the Director of Curriculum plan and deliver professional development of staff in digital technologies. Develop and maintain Queenwood policies to promote the effective use of digital technologies to staff and students. Support the Director of Curriculum in developing and maintaining digital solutions to tracking student achievement and staff development and accreditation processes. Be knowledgeable in the implementation of Queenwood’s ICT Strategic Plan.

Contribute to Queenwood publications regarding the use of digital technologies to support learning. Assist staff in the delivery of cyber-safety and digital citizenship programs to students across Stages 4, 5 and 6. Engage in relevant Professional Development courses. Engage in an annual review and development process in alignment with the Australian Professional Teaching Standards in the spirit of ongoing professional learning

Experience & Expertise -

Demonstrated capability to assist teachers in effectively and appropriately integrating digital technologies into teaching and learning across a range of subjects. Demonstrated strategic capability to link the use of digital technologies and pedagogy across Stages 4, 5, 6 Strong working knowledge of student device platforms (under the BYOD scheme) including iPads, Macs and PCs. Strong working knowledge of a range of software applications, learning management systems and cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite and 365, Google Classroom and Canvas.

Qualifications - Qualified teacher eligible to work in NSW - Highly desirable: degree or other qualification in ICT and relevant teaching experience in this area - Relevant teaching experience Personal Attributes        
