Beverley Kennedy

All Things Local has joined forces with Beverley Kennedy (pictured) from Floraline, Gregory’s Way in Belper, to offer readers the chance to show their appreciation for a fellow member of the community.

The recipient of this issue’s bouquet is local resident Carole Eagle. Carole was nominated by her friend Julie Gregory of Belper, and her daughter Sarah. Here’s what Julie wrote:

“I would like to nominate my friend Carole. She is a truly remarkable woman who has worked tirelessly over the years to support children & families with special needs. Despite being retired Carole still continues this work to ensure that the children she works with receive the support they need. She does all this whilst also carrying out charity work & helping her neighbours, friends & family with whatever she can. She carries out charity work for numerous organisations but mainly for Nepal & homeless charities. Carole is never someone to ask for anything for herself & always puts everyone else first, so I think it would be wonderful if she was the person receiving something for a change. She holds a special place in many peoples’ lives including that of my family. These would be so well deserved.” Julie Gregory

Nominate someone to receive the next bouquet.

All you have to do is state, in no more than 100 words, who you are nominating. Include their address and the reasons why you are nominating them. You can nominate more than one person if they are living/working at the same address… and remember – flowers don’t just have to be for women!

The only rule is that the person receiving the flowers must live or work in the distribution area of All Things Local, Belper Edition (listed on front cover). Just write your nomination on a piece of paper and send to Friendship Blooms, All Things Local, 74 Woodhouse Road, Kilburn, Belper, Derbyshire DE56 0NA or e-mail your nomination to helen@allthingslocal.co.uk putting ‘Friendship Blooms’ as the subject. Please include your full name, address and daytime telephone number on your nomination.

Closing date for nominations for the next issue is Wednesday 19th October 2022.

All nominations are kept on file and you will be contacted if your nomination has been selected. Contact information is only used by All Things Local; no information is given to any third party.
