Fill a Martini or Champagne glass with ice and place to one side. Pour all of the ingredients into the Boston glass and fill with ice. Place on the Boston tin and shake until there is a frosting on the side of the tin. Using both a Hawthorne strainer and a fine strainer pour the drink into the pre-chilled glass. Garnish with the cherry and serve.
