Camargue herd scarf
This best selling scarf was inspired by the wild horses of the Camargue, galloping through the evening light across a pond. It was getting dark and it wasn't certain the picture would work, so I was specially thrilled to see the image emerge, particularly the hooves of the leading horse, who looks so determined and confident. Wild mustangs scarf
This herd of wild mustangs live at an amazing horse rescue centre, in Southern California, called RETURN TO FREEDOM. The herd was standing quietly on top of a hill in the evening. I crept up to them as softly and quietly as possible so as not to cause any disturbance of this lovely reflective moment. Lupin field scarf
This field of wild Lupins attracted the Icelandic horses to have an unrestrained gallop, having a riotous time in amongst the fabulous purple and green scenery. They moved fast and unpredictably, thanks to the hollows and hills hidden in the field. It all added excitement to the challenge of capturing the image. The lupins were brought into Iceland to stabilise the volcanic soil and they have gone crazy, creating wonderful expanses of colour. This contrasts beautifully with the wild horses colouring, which varies from quite dark to the lovely honey colour of the paler horses seen here, with untamed blonde manes. It is made from Silk Georgette.

Icelandic horse scarf
This cheeky little Icelandic horse was so curious about me and my camera that he wanted to come really close. This made it tricky to capture an image of him, but by running away fast, it was possible to catch this rather gorgeous moment. The forelock falling over his eyes gives a sense that he might not be looking at you, but in fact he knows exactly what's going on! In Silk Habotai the scarf has a sheen and feels more 'silky' than the more heavyweight Crepe De Chine. £120.00 SKU: KL-SS-HT-IH

Shadow horse scarf
This Lusitano stallion lives in Portugal. He has just been let loose in his sand school and is having a fine time dancing, bucking and capering to celebrate his freedom. The white wall behind him takes his shadow sharply, showing that he has all four legs off the ground. Of all the moments to capture, this is the best! The scarf hangs beautifully in Silk Crepe De Chine

Lusitano in his stable scarf
This Lusitano stallion also lives in Portugal. He is 'hanging out' here casually in a cloister which forms part of his stable. I specially like the hip flexion, which shows how comfortable he is in this environment. Quietly inching forward to capture the image and not to disturb his calm demeanour. It was pure joy to see how the image came out. Crepe De Chine

Abstract boat scarf
In France, in a boat yard, I found a 'carcass' of a boat. It had paint peeling off and makes a very attractive abstract image. Turquoise is my favourite blue, and the gold and silver contrast beautifully. Lupin chiffon scarf
This field of lupins is in Iceland. I photographed some beautiful Icelandic horses cavorting in the field, which you'll find in the equine collection. But the lupins themselves were attractive. When the idea of a 'natural world' collection came to me, this seemed an obvious image to use. The purple and green colours are powerful and attractive. Norway neckerchief
The image on this neckerchief comes from the reflections in a harbour of a small boathouse I discovered in the South of Norway. The vertical stripes on the boathouse translate into interesting 'wiggles' in reflections. Red leaves wrap
This beautiful large wrap was inspired by the autumn colours in Colorado. The leaves were like fire; red, yellow and orange and shimmered in a light breeze. I had to wait for the ideal moment to capture the yellow leaves sharply and blur the reds. In Silk Georgette, this turned to a wonderful incandescent translucency.
