CATALOGUE of WALL ART ABSTRACT COLLECTION 2022 WWW.FITZWALLS.COM
Hello and Welcome to my Catalogue of Wall Art I create unusual images of horses, water, reflections, abstracts and subjects from nature. My photography has evolved over 20 years from portraiture to abstract via equine portraits and images of horses in the wild. Along the way images of water and nature have captivated me and abstraction has become a key part of my creative approach..

How to choose and where to hang it.
Your choice of image and its style of presentation will depend on many factors. your interests, your lifestyle, and the environment where you plan to hang the image.
More on Presentation options and definitions of the various styles is included in the last few pages of this catalogue.
The images which follow can be seen on my website and each will have a link to itself in the shop. To find out more please click the link concerned.
Some general points on presentations Framed images are a standard approach and to choose the frame yourself may make the most sense: if you already have images alongside which the new one is to hang, you can buy unframed prints which come with a mat surround to enhance the presentation of the image.
Sizes quote in this catalogue include the dimensions of a mat where one has already been created.
One exception to this is with rather small prints where you may want only a narrow border, or alternatively you may like the idea of a small print in a very large mat surround. These tend to draw people in, to examine the image more intently. To maintain this flexibility most small prints have no mat.
If the environment where the image will hang is very modern and minimalist an acrylic may be the best choice, as it is modern and sophisticated, with no frame.
Limited Editions explained What is a Limited Edition? - a short explanation
Just in case you haven't come across it, the term Limited Edition refers to a restricted number of versions of an image created as Fine Art prints. It requires an up front declaration of the number of prints that will be produced. This restriction is verified by a system of certification.
The smaller the total number in the edition, the more value is added, and the first print in any edition is extra specially valued.
So an edition of 50 is OK, but an edition of 15 is better. And 1/50 is more desirable than 10/50
My Limited Editions are verified by a specific certification system. This involves a hologram on the back of the print and a matching hologram on a certificate which is printed on a special type of watermarked paper.
The certificate is provided by the image creator with details of the image. This is also registered on a special database called MyArtRegistry.
The owner/purchaser's name is attached to the certificate, which authenticates the creation and ownership author of the image. Therefore, if someone else claims to have created the image or to own it, the certification shows whether this is a valid claim. This also adds value for the owner.

Artist's Proofs explained
What is an Artist's proof? How is it different from a Limited Edition? - a short explanation
An artist's proof is a test print - usually the first print that has been created for any image. This confers exclusivity and added value. Sometimes there may be more than one Artist's proof, but if so, this will be indicated on the print. The notation for an artist's proof is A/P in the bottom left had corner of a print. if there is more than one (and up to 4 is regarded as acceptable) it will be shown as A/P 2 etc. Some artists never sell their Artists proofs keeping them as a physical catalogue of their portfolio. Others hold the artists proofs until the Limited Edition of that image is fully sold. This makes them especially valuable and prices can be extremely high as a result.
Acrylic prints Acrylic images – thin and translucent, this protective material provides a luscious, sophisticated, modern take on art. The thin layer of acrylic in front of the image gives the perception of a luminous quality to the image. Acrylics can be finished in a glossy coating or a matt finish, whichever is selected. This may be defined by the nature of the image, but can also be selected bespoke.
These are not Limited Editions – though it is possible for a Limited Edition image to be provided in this medium with a bespoke order.
