1 Cut pine stud into 4 pieces, 23” long

2 Square a corner of each piece on the jointer

3 Plane each piece so that it is 3/4” thick

4 Using the table saw, cut each piece to 2” wide

5 Measure 1” from the sides and each end, and find the center (12” from each end)

6 Mark each point with a cross, using a carpenter’s square

7 Using a compass, draw a 2” diameter half circle at each end

8 Using a 1/4” drill bit, drill a hole through the center of each piece

9 Using a 11/2” forstner bit, drill a 1/4” into each end

10 Sand each corner down on the disc sander

11 Using the belt sander, sand down to the half circle on each end.

12 Connect each pair of legs with a binding post screw *make sure the circular indents are facing the same way

13 Cut dowel into 4 pieces, 12� long

14 Drill two pilot holes through each piece into the ends of each dowel, then screw into place

15 Cut a 12” X 18” piece of canvas

16 Fold the canvas over twice on each side and sew to make a hem

17 Attach one side of velcro to each end of the canvas and the other side 5” from the edge of the canvas

18 Attach the canvas to the frame by wrapping the canvas around the dowels to connect with the velcro
